Introduction to monday.com

monday.com is an AI work platform that helps teams plan, execute, and deliver work in one connected place. It is designed to help teams work beyond human limits by bringing intelligent, context-aware assistance into the flow of work and supporting execution at scale.

What you can do on monday.com

monday.com helps teams organize work in a shared system, so everyone can see what needs to happen, who owns what, and how work is progressing. Teams use it to track tasks and projects, manage cross-team processes, run pipelines, handle requests, and keep operational work moving.

Work can be structured in a way that fits your team. You can track details in columns, communicate in context, and view the same work in different ways depending on what you need, such as day-to-day execution, reporting, or leadership visibility.

The monday.com products

monday.com offers standalone products that can work together in the same account, so different teams can run their work in one place while staying aligned across departments.

A quick overview of the monday.com products
  • monday work management is a flexible system for managing tasks, projects, and cross-team processes, with customizable workflows that can scale from simple tracking to complex execution.
  • monday CRM is a centralized place to manage leads, contacts, pipelines, and customer relationships, with workflows that can match the way sales teams work.
  • monday dev is built for product and software development teams managing sprints, roadmaps, and product feedback, while staying connected to the rest of the business.
  • monday service connects ticketing, operations, and cross-functional teams in one service platform, with service-specific workflows and capabilities such as ticket management, SLA tracking, and the Customer Portal.

How work is organized

Most work on monday.com is organized in workspaces, which help teams group related work in one place.

Inside each workspace, the core building block is the boards. Boards are made up of items, groups, and columns. Items can represent anything you track, such as tasks, deals, requests, candidates, or tickets, and columns store the details and progress for each item.

Alongside boards, teams often use monday workdocs for longer planning and documentation, and WorkForms to collect structured information through an intake form that feeds directly into a board.

To analyze work, you can use views to look at a single board from different angles, and dashboards to report across multiple boards using widgets and apps.

Templates are also available when you want a starting structure instead of a blank board.

AI capabilities

monday AI brings intelligent, context-aware assistance into monday.com, helping you think, create, and take action in one place. It is powered by leading AI models and works with the context on your account, so AI can support both everyday work and more complex execution across teams.

You can start with monday sidekick as your AI assistant inside monday.com, use monday vibe to build code-free custom apps, and use AI workflows to embed AI steps into workflows so work can run more efficiently at scale. Within your boards, you can also use AI blocks, which are the core building blocks behind AI-powered capabilities across the platform.

Key monday AI capabilities
  • monday sidekick is a context-aware AI assistant that can take on complete tasks inside your account, from brainstorming and creating content to organizing boards and carrying out research.
  • monday vibe is an AI-powered app builder that turns prompts into fully custom, secure business apps on monday.com. You describe what you need, and vibe generates an app that you can keep refining in chat, without writing code.
  • AI workflows let you embed AI within your workflows to analyze, generate, and route work, adding intelligent steps to your automations and integrations so processes can run more efficiently at scale.
  • AI blocks are used across monday.com, including in AI-powered columns and AI-powered automations, so you can bring AI into the places where work is managed.

In addition to these, monday.com includes many other AI-powered features that enhance different parts of the platform. The AI Feature Catalog is a helpful place to review what is available.

Note: The AI features in the left pane are released gradually. If you do not see monday sidekick, monday vibe, or AI workflows there yet, they will become available soon.

Collaboration and visibility

Work stays clearer when communication stays connected to what you are working on. Each item includes an Updates Section where teams can communicate in context and keep decisions tied to the exact work they relate to. Mentions help loop in the right people without moving conversations to another tool. You can receive notifications in the bell notifications, by email, and on mobile, depending on your settings.

Connect, automate, and scale

As work grows, consistency becomes just as important as speed. monday.com helps teams reduce manual steps and keep processes running smoothly by combining automations, integrations, and AI workflows.

Automations can trigger actions based on changes on a board, and integrations connect the tools your team already uses so information stays aligned. AI workflows take this further by embedding AI steps into your workflows, so work can be analyzed, generated, and routed automatically as part of the same process.
