Where are Bell Notifications?
You can find your Bell Notifications by clicking the bell icon at the top of your left panel.
Click the bell icon to open a pop-up window with all of your notifications. You can scroll through them and mark them as read right from the pop-up window without leaving the page you're working on in the background.
What notifications appear there?
The bell icon is where you receive all of the information that's specifically relevant to you (i.e something you were tagged in, assigned to, a reply to an update you wrote, etc). You will receive notifications in monday via the bell icon whenever someone:
Take a look at this article to learn more about the differences between different types of notifications in your account.
Manage your notifications
When you receive notifications, a little red circle appears at the top right corner of your bell icon with the number of unread notifications you have in your Bell Notifications Center. When you open your notifications, the number will disappear, but all of your new, unread notifications will remain highlighted in blue until you delete them or mark them as "read".
To mark a notification as "read", simply hover to the right side of your notification and click the check mark icon. The notification will turn white, but remain in your notification center.
Filter your notifications
You can filter your notifications to make them easier to check. There are four tabs at the top of your Notifications Center.
All
The "All" tab will show you all of the notifications in your notification history, no matter how they are categorized.
Unread
The "Unread" tab shows you all unread updates! Using this tab is a great way to only see the notifications you haven't yet dealt with so you can quickly get through them and get back to work! After you mark a notification as "read", it will remain in this window until you close your Notifications Center or switch tabs so that you have time to mark it as unread or delete it if you choose to!
I was mentioned
The "I was mentioned" tab will only show you updates or replies where you were mentioned! This tab is really useful if you're short on time and just need to check the notifications specifically related to you!
Assigned to me
The "Assigned to me" tab will show you all of the notifications informing you of items assigned to you across your account! These notifications can come from automations or from your team members! Use this tab to check what tasks have been assigned to you recently, and by whom!
Filter by person
You can filter all types of notifications by person! Click the "Filter by person" icon at the top of your bell notification window. Select a person by typing their name in the search bar or scrolling through the list of account members. This filter will show you all notifications from the person you've selected!
Search bar
Use the search bar at the top of your notifications window to quickly filter your results by text or context! Type in any keyword or context such as board or item name or action. You can search notifications dating 6 months back or your last 1250 notifications (whatever comes first). Your search term will be highlighted in all of the notifications that your search fetches.
Control your notifications
Click the 3 dot menu at the top right corner of your Bell Notifications Center and select "settings" to control your notifications!
You will be navigated to the notifications tab of your account's settings, as shown below. From here, you can modify your settings to decide which notifications to receive in "In monday", "Email", and "Desktop".
You can also mute notifications from a certain board within the notification in your Bell Notifications center or from the board itself. Check out this article to learn how.
