Where are my Bell Notifications?
You can find your Bell Notifications by clicking the bell icon at the top of your left panel.
Click the bell icon to open a pop-up window with all of your notifications! You can scroll through them and mark them as read right from the pop-up window without leaving the page you're working on in the background!
What kind of notifications appear there?
The bell icon is where you receive all of the information that's specifically relevant to you (i.e something you were tagged in, assigned to, a reply to an update you wrote, etc). You will receive notifications in the bell icon whenever someone:
- Crowns you as an admin on the account
- Assigns you to an item in a People Column
- Mentions you in an update or a reply to an update
- Mentions a team you are a part of in an update
- Replies to an update you wrote
- Subscribes you to an item or board
- Deletes an item or board you are subscribed to
- Archives an item or board you are subscribed to
- When automations on your boards activate any of the above actions
Take a look at this article to learn more about the differences between different types of notifications in your account.
How can I manage my notifications?
When you receive notifications, a little red circle appears at the top right corner of your bell icon with the number of unread notifications you have in your Bell Notifications Center.
When you open your notifications, the number will disappear, but all of your new, unread notifications will remain highlighted in blue until you delete them or mark them as "read".
To mark a notification as "read", simply hover to the right side of your notification and click the check mark icon. The notification will turn white, but remain in your notification center.
To mark all new notifications as "read", click the 3 dot icon at the top right corner of your /pop-up window and select "Mark all as read" as we've done here, below:
To remove a notification from your Notification Center, hover on the right side and click "Delete" like this:
Can I filter my notifications?
You can filter your notifications to make them easier to check! There are four tabs at the top of your Notifications Center. Let's go through each of them together.
The "All" tab will show you all of the notifications in your notification history, no matter how they are categorized.
The "Unread" tab shows you all unread updates! Using this tab is a great way to only see the notifications you haven't yet dealt with so you can quickly get through them and get back to work! After you mark a notification as "read", it will remain in this window until you close your Notifications Center or switch tabs so that you have time to mark it as unread or delete it if you choose to!
- I was mentioned
The "I was mentioned" tab will only show you updates or replies where you were mentioned! This tab is really useful if you're short on time and just need to check the notifications specifically related to you!
- Assigned to me
The "Assigned to me" tab will show you all of the notifications informing you of items assigned to you across your account! These notifications can come from automations or from your team members! Use this tab to check what tasks have been assigned to you recently, and by whom!
If there are no notifications that can be categorized under the tab you selected, you'll see a message that looks like this:
Can I control what notifications I receive?
Click the 3 dot menu at the top right corner of your Bell Notifications Center and select "settings" to control your notifications!
You will be navigated to the notifications tab of your account's settings, as shown below. From here, you can choose what type of notifications you's like to see in your Bell Notifications Center. You can select or deselect the box to the left of the four different types of notifications below:
We hope this helps you stay on top of your work and stay in touch with your team members!
