How to send a message to a team member
To send a message to a team member, simply open the item you wish to communicate on and use the @mention followed by your message.
Your team member will receive an instant notification in the "I was mentioned" tab on their bell notification center. They can also turns on their email notifications to receive an email about it.
Being able to communicate in context will save you from sending emails back and forth. You can even see if your team member read your message by hovering over the eye at the bottom right corner of the update.
How to send a message to a team
The first step of this process is to create a team. To learn more about how to create a team, check out this article. Once your team is created, click inside the item you wish to communicate on and use the @mention followed by your message as shown below:
All the members of your team will receive a notification on their bell regarding that message. You can even assign a team to an item! Click here to learn how.
Mentioning multiple people at once
To make communication faster and easier, you can also mention everyone who's subscribed to an item, board, workspace, or even to your entire account in just one click! Simply use the @mention sign and then select "everyone on this item/board/workspace" or "everyone at [your account name]".
Doing so will trigger a notification to all the relevant people and they will be directed right to this message!
Whenever you are mentioned in an update, you will receive a notification on your bell icon. You can also turn on your email notifications to receive an email about it. To learn more about how notifications work, check out this article.
Does monday.com have a chat?
