Export a board to Excel

Click on the three-dot menu at the top right corner of your board. Then click on More actions, and then Export board to Excel. You may only export a board with up to 10,000 items at a time.

Note: At the moment, it is only possible to export the table views of a board (the Main board table, or any saved filters). Board views will not be exported. Additionally, it is not possible to edit, customize, or change the way a board is exported to Excel.

From here, you can choose whether you want to export just the table or to include all updates, and/or subitems. You can also have a copy of your exported board sent directly to your email.Screenshot 2025-05-27 at 15.21.18 1.png

Once you've made all the selections you need, click on Export. Your Excel file will download immediately, and then you will be able to open it to see the result.Group 1 (42).png

Note: Admins of an Enterprise plan can activate an account permission that disables the ability to export boards to Excel for non-admins on the account.

If you choose to export the table with updates, you will see the table in one tab, and all of the updates and replies in a separate tab in the same spreadsheet, as seen below:Group 1 (43).png

Note: It is currently not possible to remove the "Powered by monday.com" branding message when exporting to Excel. Additionally, if you have Subitems on your board, the Subitems' updates will not be exported to Excel, only the item's updates.
