Whether your goal is to raise brand awareness, introduce your new product, or generate leads, you'll reach your goal in no time with monday marketing campaigns. Read on to learn how to use monday marketing to reach your audience and inspire them to engage.

The first time you open monday campaigns, a Guided Setup wizard walks you through brand kit, sender domain, contacts, and creating a first campaign. You can skip the wizard at any time — every step is also available from the main navigation.

If you don't have an account yet, please check out how to get started with creating an account.

Adding marketing contacts

You can manually add contacts to your contact list, and you also have the option to import lists of contacts from an external source.

First, click on the Marketing Contacts tab in the left pane menu.

Click on the dropdown arrow next to the New contact button at the top of the page, and then select the Import contacts option.

From there, you'll be able to add the file containing all of your contacts. Supported file types include .csv, .xlsx, and .xls file types.

Once you've uploaded your file, map the columns, decide how to handle matches, and then your import is finished.

You can also import contacts directly from monday CRM. For more information, please check out the Importing contacts from monday CRM to monday campaigns article.

Now it's time to create a campaign!

Create a campaign

Open Campaigns from the left side of your home screen:Group 1 - 2025-10-13T161554.757.png

Click + Create campaign to begin setting up a new campaign:Group 1 - 2025-10-13T161715.838.png

There are two ways to start:

  • Type a prompt for AI to generate the campaign (currently in Beta) — Describe the campaign in plain language and AI will build the first draft for you.
  • Create from scratch — This option opens the email editor with a blank canvas. You can then design your campaign by hand

Design your template

When creating a campaign, the editor opens with the Content tab by default.

Design your campaign

Use the right panel to drag in blocks (text, images, buttons, dividers, etc.) and adjust layout.

The right panel also includes Sidekick, an AI assistant that can write copy, generate images, change subject lines, switch the audience, and more. Switch to the Sidekick tab using the icon at the top of the right-panel icon bar.

For the full editor walkthrough — block types, layout rows, settings, fonts, colours — see Designing templates in monday campaigns. For everything Sidekick can do, see Using sidekick in monday campaigns.

Tip: When adding images to a campaign email, use JPG or PNG. SVG can render incorrectly in some inbox clients (like Gmail).

Set up your recipients and senders

To finish setting up your campaign, choose Settings at the top right of the editor.

The Settings view has a left-side nav to jump between four sections:

  • Audience — pick the segment(s) of contacts the campaign sends to. To build a new segment, see Reach your audience with monday campaigns segments.

  • Sender & Subject — pick a sender address from those set up for your account, type your subject line (you can add dynamic fields like {{firstName}} and emojis), and add preview text that shows under the subject in the recipient's inbox.

monday campaigns supports multiple sender addresses across multiple verified domains. To set up a new sender or domain, see Setting up your email infrastructure.

  • Send time — send immediately or schedule for any time in the future. Pick a timezone, a delivery date, and a delivery time.

  • Tracking — toggle UTM tracking on and fill in the parameters so you can measure performance in tools like Google Analytics. See Setting up UTM tracking on monday campaigns.

Review and launch

When everything is ready, click Review & launch in the top-right of the editor (workflow-driven campaigns show Review & activate instead). You'll land on a review screen that summarizes the campaign and runs final checks before sending.

monday campaigns also scans your campaign for content compliance — see Campaign content review process — and then queues it for delivery.

Choosing your subject

The subject you choose has a major impact on your campaign's engagement rate. To make your email subject and preview more engaging, you can use dynamic fields and emojis.

There you'll see total recipients, delivered to, open rate, click rate, and unsubscribe rate.Untitled design - 2025-07-16T151807.428.gif

Contact and email limits

There you will be able to see how many marketing contacts you have used and how many you have left, as well as how many outbound emails you have already sent and how many you have left. AI generated campaigns

monday campaigns can also generate complete campaigns for you — either as Insight cards above the campaigns list (driven by your CRM activity and brand context), or by typing a prompt in the + Create campaign window.

Create an AI-driven experience that analyzes sales call notes, adds external context, identifies the right audience, and builds a relevant campaign for you. It will also aggregate data from CRM into monday campaigns.

See AI generated campaigns for the full flow.

Important to know and FAQs

  • Emails will be reviewed by the monday system, and if any suspicious emails arise, they will be marked under the Being Reviewed status
  • If you verify your domain in the Email infrastructure page in settings, you will then be able to send 250 emails to the domain's email address during your trial period
  • All sends are powered by SendGrid. Enterprise customers benefit from a dedicated IP for maximum deliverability control, while Pro users utilize shared reputation pools.

FAQs

Why is the monday campaigns trial limited to 5 emails?

The trial is limited to 5 emails to prevent spam and inappropriate emails from being sent from monday campaigns.

Where can I see how many contacts I am using?

Click Settings at the top right of the screen, then select Usage stats.

How do contacts unsubscribe from monday campaigns emails?

Contacts can opt out by clicking the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of any email. Once clicked, their status is automatically updated on your Contacts board.

How can a contact be resubscribed in monday campaigns?

Contacts cannot resubscribe themselves. To resubscribe a contact upon their request, an admin must go to Settings and select Manage Subscriptions. The page displays a table with each contact's email address, the date they unsubscribed, and a Resubscribe button. If no contacts are unsubscribed, this page will be empty. Clicking Resubscribe opens a confirmation dialog that warns about sender reputation and compliance risks before the admin can proceed.

Does monday campaigns support multiple brands in one account?

monday campaigns supports multiple sender addresses, but the AI Context Layer and contact management currently have the following parameters:

  • The AI supports one brand per account. It scans one primary URL to understand products, competitors, and brand voice.
  • There is a limit of one Contacts board per account (Shared Contacts for Suite accounts; Marketing Contacts for Standalone accounts).

Multi-brand support, including the ability for the AI to extract assets from multiple URLs and distinguish between different internal brand identities, is a confirmed roadmap item.
