Get started with monday campaigns

Whether your goal is to raise brand awareness, introduce your new product, or generate leads, you'll reach your goal in no time with monday marketing campaigns. Read on to learn how to use monday marketing to reach your audience and inspire them to engage.

Adding marketing contacts

You can manually add contacts to your contact list, and you also have the option to import lists of contacts from an external source.

First, click on the Marketing Contacts tab in the left pane menu.

Click on the dropdown arrow next to the New contact button at the top of the page, and then select the Import contacts option.

From there, you'll be able to add the file containing all of your contacts. Supported file types include .csv, .xlsx, and .xls file types.

Once you've uploaded your file, map the columns, decide how to handle matches, and then your import is finished.

Now it's time to create a campaign!

 

Create a campaign

When you're done, click Create campaign.

 

Design your template

To begin setting up the visuals of your campaign, click Design template:Group 1 - 2025-07-16T141746.119.png

 

When it comes to your campaign's visuals, you can create your own from scratch or use the default blocks in our drag-and-drop editor.

Note: When adding an image to an email in campaigns, it is best to use JPG or PNG as opposed to SVG, which might not load properly for different inbox clients (like Gmail, for example).

 

Set up your recipients and senders

To finish setting up your campaign, use the left-hand sections to add your recipient segment and senders.

Choose a segment

To choose a segment, click To and select a segment from the dropdown:Group 1 - 2025-07-16T142210.428.png

 

Click Save to access the next step.

 

Choose your sender

To add a sender, click From. You can choose from the email addresses set up for your account. monday campaigns offers flexible sender configurations to accommodate various team needs within a single account.

  • Multiple Domains: Users can send campaigns from different domains.
  • Unlimited Sender Addresses: There is no limit to the number of individual sender emails (e.g., sales@company.com vs. marketing@company.com).

Choosing your subject

The subject you choose has a major impact on your campaign's engagement rate. To make your email subject more engaging, you can use dynamic fields and emojis.

Email preview

Click Save to move to the next step.

 

Timing your campaign

You can send your campaign immediately or schedule your campaign for any point in the future.

When you're done, click Save.

 

Edit a campaign

To edit a campaign, click on the three-dot menu to the right of a segment in your list and select Edit:

Delete a campaign

To delete a campaign, click on the three-dot menu to the right of a segment in your list and select Delete:

To confirm that you wish to delete the campaign, click Yes, delete it:

Warning: You can't undo this action.

 

Campaign analytics

After you've sent out your campaign, you will want to track its performance. Easily track campaigns' analytics by hovering over the name of the campaign you want to view and clicking on the open tab. There you'll see total recipients, delivered to, open rate, click rate, and unsubscribe rate.Untitled design - 2025-07-16T151807.428.gif

Contact and email limits

To view your contact and email limits, navigate to Settings, and then click on Usage stats. There you will be able to see how many marketing contacts you have used and how many you have left, as well as how many outbound emails you have already sent and how many you have left. AI generated campaigns

AI suggestions will auto-generate campaigns based on sales insights and external data so you can streamline you campaign process with minimal effort!

Important to know and FAQs

  • Emails will be reviewed by the monday system, and if any suspicious emails arise, they will be marked under the Being Reviewed status
  • If you verify your domain in the Email infrastructure page in settings, you will then be able to send 250 emails to the domain's email address during your trial period
  • All sends are powered by SendGrid. Enterprise customers benefit from a dedicated IP for maximum deliverability control, while Pro users utilize shared reputation pools.

FAQs

Why is the monday campaigns trial comprised of only 5 emails?

This is in order to prevent spam and inappropriate emails from being sent from monday campaigns

Where can I see how many contacts I am using? 

Click Settings at the top right of the screen, then select Usage stats.

How do customers unsubscribe?

Your customers can opt out by clicking the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of any email. Once clicked, their status is automatically updated on your Contacts board.

How can a customer be resubscribed? 

Customers can't resubscribe themselves. To resubscribe a customer upon their request, the admin must follow these steps: Go to Settings > select Manage Subscriptions.

The page displays a table with each contact's email address, the date they unsubscribed, and a Resubscribe button. If no contacts are unsubscribed, this page will be empty. When the admin clicks Resubscribe, a confirmation dialog warns about sender reputation and compliance risks before the admin can proceed. 

Does monday campaigns support multiple brands in an account?

While monday campaigns supports multiple sender addresses, the AI Context Layer and Data Structure currently have specific parameters:

  • Single Brand Focus (Today): The AI currently supports one brand per account. It scans one primary URL to understand products, competitors, and brand voice.
  • Contact Management: There is a limit of one Contacts Board per account (Shared Contacts for Suite users; Marketing Contacts for Standalone).

However, multi-brand support—including the ability for the AI to extract assets from multiple URLs and distinguish between different internal brand identities—is a confirmed roadmap item.
