monday.com brings your work, your team, and your AI tools together in one connected place. This article walks you through the updated platform layout so you know where everything lives and how to get up and running quickly.

The left pane

Once you log in, the left pane is your main navigation hub. It gives you fast access to your most-used areas of the platform.

What's in the left pane
  • Workspace — opens the workspace you last visited. If that workspace cannot be resolved, monday.com falls back to your main workspace.
  • AI Sidekick — your conversational AI assistant, accessed via AI Sidekick in the left pane. Learn more about monday sidekick.
  • Vibe — build code-free custom apps for your team, accessed via Vibe in the left pane. Learn more about monday vibe.
  • AI Agents — view, build, and manage monday agents and AI Workflows, accessed via AI Agents in the left pane. Learn more about monday AI agent builder.

  • Favorites — boards, dashboards, and docs you have starred for quick access.

The top bar

The top bar runs across the top of the platform and gives you access to search, notifications, the update feed, the help center, and the monday marketplace. Its core functionality remains the same across both the new and previous layouts.

Tools such as the Autopilot hub and AI Workflows have moved to the More menu in the left pane to keep the top bar clean and focused.

Tip: Use the Search bar at the top to find any board, doc, item, or person across your account instantly.

Workspaces

A workspace is the top-level container for all your work in monday.com. Every board, dashboard, form, and doc lives inside a workspace. You land on the workspace you last visited each time you open the platform. If that workspace cannot be resolved, you are taken to your account's main workspace.

Each workspace has its own home page showing your recent items, all assets, collaborators, and permissions. You can create multiple workspaces to organize work by team, department, or project.

What's inside a workspace
  • Assets — all the boards, dashboards, and docs that belong to this workspace, listed in the left pane and on the workspace home page.
  • My workspace agents — the monday agents that belong to you and are relevant to this workspace's assets. Only the agents you have access to are displayed.
  • Recents — the items and boards you have most recently visited inside this workspace.
  • Collaborators — the people who have access to this workspace.
  • Permissions — controls for who can view and edit the workspace and its contents.
  • Folders and sub-folders — optional groupings to keep your workspace organized.

monday sidekick

monday sidekick serves as your default starting point in monday.com, making your interactions conversational and action-oriented. You can ask Sidekick to help you create boards, draft documents, summarize work, brainstorm ideas, and more, all without leaving the platform.

Sidekick is accessible via the Sidekick tab in the left pane. It is also available via the floating AI button, which opens a right-side panel wherever you are on the platform.

AI Agents

The Agents tab on the left pane is your central hub for intelligent automation in monday.com. From here you can build and manage monday agents using the monday AI agent builder.

monday agents are purpose-built to take action for you within the boundaries you define. They operate based on the boards, docs, and assets in each workspace and only act within user-defined permissions and guardrails.

What you can do in AI Agents
  • monday AI agent builder — build custom monday agents that take defined actions on your boards and workflows.
  • View your agents — see all monday agents you have access to, including those tied to the current workspace's assets. Agent sharing across workspaces will be available in a future update.

Note: The workspace view shows only the agents that belong to you and are connected to that workspace's assets. This ensures each workspace surfaces only the agents most relevant to your work there.

monday vibe

monday vibe, accessed via the Apps tab in the left pane, lets you build code-free custom apps tailored to your team's specific workflows. Describe what you want in natural language, and Vibe generates a functional app inside monday.com.

Note: AI features on monday.com consume AI credits. To learn more about how credits work, visit the AI Credits article.

monday AI Notetaker

monday AI Notetaker, accessed via the Notetaker tab in the left pane, automatically captures, transcribes, and summarizes your meetings. Notes and action items are organized inside monday.com, so follow-through stays connected to your work.

Favorites and Recents

Favorites appear in the left pane and give you fast access to the boards, docs, and dashboards you use most. Star any board or item to add it to your Favorites. Recently viewed will appear as a section within your favorites tab, automatically tracking what you have opened recently across your workspaces.

More tab

The More tab in your left pane opens a dropdown list of additional features and tools to assist you with your workflow.
