Connecting Google Workspace (Gemini) to monday.com

Attention: This connector is in early alpha and is read-only. Gemini can pull your monday.com data into Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, but it cannot create or update items on your boards.

Connect your monday.com account to Google Gemini to bring your monday.com data into Google Workspace tools, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. This connection lets you reference and work with your board data directly from the Google apps you already use.

Tip: Looking for Gemini Enterprise? To connect Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise to monday.com, see Connecting Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise to monday.com. This guide covers the Gemini integration inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Install the monday.com integration app

Before you can use Gemini with your monday.com data, install the monday.com integration app from the monday marketplace. This gives Gemini access to your monday.com data.

1Click this link to open the install screen, or search for the Google Integration app in the monday marketplace.

2Follow the prompts to authorize the app on your monday.com account.

Note: Depending on your account's permissions, an admin may need to complete this step.

Connect monday.com through the Google Workspace Marketplace

Next, add monday.com from the Google Workspace Marketplace so Gemini can access it from your Google apps.

1Go to the monday.com listing on the Google Workspace Marketplace.

2Select Install and follow the prompts to add monday.com to your Google Workspace.

Ask Gemini about your monday.com data

Once both steps are complete, open Gemini from Gmail, Docs, Sheets, or Slides, and ask it a question about your monday.com data.

For example, you can try prompts asking Gemini to import one of your boards into a sheet, check whether items in a sheet match your monday.com board data, or update item statuses based on board values. You can try similar prompts in Gmail, Docs, and Slides as well.

FAQs

I see the error "Invalid Scope Param." What do I do?

Double-check that you installed the monday.com integration app correctly in Step 1, then try connecting again from the Google Workspace Marketplace.

Why is this set up differently than other MCP connections?

Most monday.com MCP connections use DCR (Dynamic Client Registration), which adds the connector to your Administration section so admins can enable or disable it. See Managing AI Connectors and MCP Access for details. Google's setup works differently and requires installing an app instead, which is why the steps in this guide look different.

Can Gemini create or update items on my monday.com boards?

This connector is in early alpha and is read-only. Gemini can read your monday.com data and bring it into Gmail, Docs, Sheets, or Slides, but it cannot write changes back to your boards.
