monday vibe lets you turn ideas into powerful, custom apps right inside monday.com. Using natural language, you can build new board views, dashboards, data visualizations, internal tools, and more, without writing code.

What can I build today?

You can build new board views like dashboards, data visualizations (charts, maps, graphs), internal portals, time tracking tools, duplication identifier, resource planner, custom forms, and anything else you can describe with words! You can also add new item views...

 

Can I build on mobile?

As of now, not yet but this is in the works so stay tuned!

How is monday vibe different from monday magic?

  • monday magic uses existing building blocks (like boards, forms, dashboards), designed for new users
  • monday vibe expands the capabilities of monday products, allowing you to add custom apps to your work

 

How can I track  AI usage in my Vibe app?

Integration with monday.com

What monday data does monday vibe access?
  • The selected board, including columns, items, and subitems
  • Current user information, including authentication and permissions
  • Account users, such as user names and details
  • Team information, including user teams and roles
Does monday vibe support item relations?

Yes. monday vibe reads connected columns and can connect or disconnect items on another board.

Does monday vibe support permissions?

Yes. monday vibe respects all monday.com permissions. You can only view or edit vibe data from items or columns you already have access to, and you must have access to the board to view the connected vibe view.

Can an app trigger an automation?

An app cannot directly trigger an automation, but it can make changes on a board that act as automation triggers. For example, changing a status on an item can trigger an automation.

Can I build scheduled or background jobs?

Not at this time. Apps can run only when they are actively viewed.

Can I build external API integrations?

Not yet. External API integrations are planned as a future feature.

Can I embed or export apps outside of monday.com?

Not yet. Apps currently live only inside monday.com.

 

Collaboration and sharing

What is a published app vs. a draft app?

You can keep your vibe app in draft mode, which is free and accessible only to you. Draft apps still function and do not count toward your account limit, but other members cannot access or use them.

Once you publish your app, it becomes visible and usable by other members of your account. Published apps count toward your account’s paid limit based on your selected tier (see the pricing page for details).

Can others view my apps in draft mode?

No. App drafts are visible only to the creator.

Can I share or duplicate an app across boards?

Not yet. However, you can save the board as a template with the app view already installed, then create new boards using that template. Please note that only the object apps can be duplicated (and not board/item views).

Can multiple people edit the same app?

At this time, only the creator of the app can edit it.

 

Troubleshooting

If the prompt failed

Retry with a simpler version. If it's still not working, try again later.

If a component doesn't load

Explain what's wrong in the chat. You can also paste browser console logs into the chat to help it troubleshoot.

If preview board vs. live board look different

Some things might behave differently in preview (mainly some buttons might be clickable only on the board). If in doubt, test everything on the board.

How can I report a bug?

Submit a support ticket to report any bugs or other issues at support@monday.com.

When reporting an issue, please include the following to help us resolve it quickly:

  • A link to your vibe app build (e.g., https://www.monday.com/vibe/app/...).
  • A screenshot of the error message or where the build is stuck.
  • A brief description of the problem and the original prompt you used.
How do I share my feedback?

How is my data used to train the AI model?

Your data is kept private and is not used for training. monday.com has a strict policy against using any customer input (prompts) or output (app data) to train machine-learning models. For more details, please visit the monday.com AI Trust Center.

I have a large board with many items. The vibe is slow and takes a long time to load, filter, and so on. What can I do?

There are several steps you can take to improve speed:
1. Ask vibe to cache the board data in local storage, and only update it if it is older than an hour, day, or week as it will make the second visit much faster.
2. Ask vibe to use the aggregation API when possible as it will make statistics load super faster
3. Ask vibe to load only data that is really necessary (“load only items created in the last 30 days”, “don’t query items mark as done”, “load the first 20 items, and query more if they scroll down the list”)
4. Ask vibe to load data only when needed (“load the second board only when the user open the second app tab”)
5. Ask vibe to load fewer columns (“query only item name and status”)
6. Tell the chat “This app takes long minutes to load, how can I make it load faster?”
