Collaborative building in monday vibe lets you build an app with your team instead of relying on one person for every change. Add teammates as collaborators so you can prompt, edit, and troubleshoot together inside the same app, without transferring ownership. You can also see who sent each prompt, so your build history stays clear and accountable.
What is collaborative building?
Every Vibe app has one owner. As the owner, you can invite teammates to join your app as collaborators who help you build, edit, review, and maintain it alongside you. Collaborators use the same prompt box, the same AI, and the same app as you, which means you can work in parallel without transferring ownership.
Only two actions stay with the owner: deleting the app and transferring ownership. Everything else, including publishing, is available to collaborators.
Roles and permissions
Use this table to see what each role can do in your Vibe app.
| Action | Owner | Collaborator |
|---|---|---|
| Edit and prompt the app | Yes | Yes |
| Publish the app | Yes | Yes |
| Add or remove collaborators | Yes | Yes |
| Review and troubleshoot together | Yes | Yes |
| Delete the app | Yes | No |
| Transfer ownership | Yes | No |
Add collaborators to your app
To add a teammate to your Vibe app, select Collaborate at the top right of the app and search for the person you want to add.
In collaborative sessions, you can see exactly who sent which prompt. This keeps your build history clear and accountable.
Publish with an admin
Your account may have a setting that restricts publishing Vibe apps to admins only. You have two ways to get your app live without transferring ownership. You can add an admin to your Vibe app as a collaborator so they can publish on your behalf from inside the app.
Or, you can use request to publish, which sends your app to an admin for review and lets them open and publish it directly from the Vibe page in the administration section.
If you are the admin reviewing a request, go to Administration, then AI governance, and open the Vibe apps tab. From the Pending approval tab, select Review on the app you want to open and publish.
Collaborate on unpublished apps
Collaboration limits are different while your app is unpublished. You can add up to 1 collaborator to an unpublished app, and up to 400 collaborators once the app is published. If you unpublish an app with multiple collaborators, all collaborators are removed. You see a warning before this happens.
