Welcome to monday magic, an AI-powered tool built directly on top of monday.com that transforms a simple prompt into a ready-to-use, customized work solution.

What is monday magic?

monday magic is an AI-driven tool that helps you create the exact work solution you need within the monday.com platform. Simply describe your business need or challenge, and within minutes, monday magic will build a fully functional workspace ready for immediate use. Within the workspace, it will create boards with columns (including AI blocks), dashboards, and forms.

Who can use monday magic?

Currently, monday magic is free to use and available on monday work management. 

The work solution generated may include features that are only available on Pro or Enterprise plans. If you're not on one of these plans, you can still access these features during a two-week trial. Once the trial ends, upgrading your plan will be required to continue using them.

As of now, there are no usage limits so feel free to generate as many work solutions as you'd like.

Where to find monday magic

From the left panel menu

Click on the + sign icon in the left panel and click on Magic AI solution to start building your monday magic solution.

You will then be taken to the monday magic builder:

In monday sidekick

You can use monday magic to quickly populate, update, and create work solutions directly from within monday sidekick:

From the template center

Navigate to the template center and then click on the Start from scratch tab on the left pane menu. 

Click on the Start building button in the monday magic section to easily generate a workspace template solution.

From a new workspace

Create a new workspace by cicking on + Add workspace:

Name your workspace and click on Personalize with AI to open monday magic directly:

You can also click on Add workspace and then work with monday magic from within the workspace itself:

Creating work solutions with magic

Begin the process by entering a prompt describing exactly what you need. You can also use one of the pre-built prompts at the bottom of the chat if you need some inspiration for a starting point.

Once you have entered your prompt, click on the arrow icon:

After your work solution has been generated, you will see a preview of what it will look like. You can browse through the different boards and dashboards, as well as view the columns and demo information that has been generated to fill them.

If you want to make any changes to the work solution that has been generated, simply tell monday magic in the prompt chat box as seen below:

Once you are satisfied with the work solution, click on View in my workspace to see the solution in action. Once added to your workspace, you'll be able to add automations, integrations, and other available workspace tools directly to the magic solution.

How-to video

After you have first created a solution, you will see a video at the bottom of the chat that will walk you through everything that was created in your solution and how you can use and customize it.

Solution overview

Click on the Solution overview tab at the top of the screen to see the overview document that explains in detail each component of the solution that was created for you.

Adding files and context

While refining your magic solution, if you need to upload any files with relevant data, click on the paperclip icon at the bottom of the chat.

Click on the @ Add context button to mention relevant boards and monday workdocs to give context for your solution.

Can I create multiple solutions?

Yes, but one at a time. After publishing your current solution, you can immediately start creating a new one with monday magic.

Can I use monday magic if I don’t have a monday.com account?

You can explore and generate a solution with monday magic, but you’ll need an existing or new monday.com account to publish and use it.

Can I share it with my teammates?

Yes. Once created, your solution works like any monday workspace. You can add it to your workspace, collaborate with teammates, assign tasks, track progress, and work together in real time.

What happens if my prompt is too short or unclear in monday magic?

monday magic enters a discovery mode where it suggests improvements, asks clarifying questions, and requests confirmation before building your solution.

Is monday magic available for CRM workflows?

Yes — monday magic supports CRM workflows, including creating CRM entities and building CRM-related workflows.

Can monday magic connect boards?

Yes — monday magic supports board relations, allowing you to connect items across different boards.

Can monday magic create automations?

Yes — monday magic can create and delete automations during setup or via the modifier, but editing existing automations may require manual changes.

Can I add AI blocks columns with monday magic?

Yes — you can add AI blocks columns during the initial build or manually in the editor, but not yet through the modifier chat.

Can I add subitems to my monday magic solution?

Yes — you can create, update, delete, and move subitems during the initial build, through the modifier chat, or manually in the editor.

Can I upload files to generate a monday magic solution?

Yes — you can upload files like Excel, CSV, PDF, or DOCX, and monday magic will turn them into a structured solution.

Can I optimize my prompt in monday magic?

Yes — use the “Optimize prompt” option to improve and expand short or unclear prompts before generating your solution.

What happens after I create a monday magic solution?

Each solution includes a “Getting Started” guide that helps you understand how to use and navigate your setup.
