This guide will walk you through how to connect your monday.com account to Figma Make using monday MCP, which enables you to generate designs based on briefs you provide.

Prerequisites

• MCP is preinstalled on all monday.com accounts. 
  If you can't connect, ask your admin to check Admin → Permissions → AI Connectors. See Managing AI Connectors & MCP Access for more information.
• A Figma account
• OAuth consent for monday.com when prompted

How to set it up

If you haven't added the monday connector yet, click on the plus sign on the bottom left and then click on Connectors. Next, scroll to find the monday connector and then click on Add:

You'll then be prompted to authorize access:

Once you've authorized, you'll see the following screen:

Add the context you want to add to the Figma Make project to a board item.

Click on the item you want to use, and then the three dot menu on the right side and then click on Copy item link:

Paste the item link into Figma Make along with instructions of what you want it to create:

You will notice in the chat that Make is connecting to monday to retrieve the relevant information.

Once Figma Makes gives you the initial result, you can tweak and make changes until you are satisfied with the final result.

With the monday connector on Figma Makes, there's no need for context switching. You can:

• Ask Figma Makes to notify a teammate on monday directly from the Figma Makes platform
• Create and update items on monday directly from the Figma Makes platform
