This guide will walk you through how to connect your monday.com account to Claude using monday MCP, which enables you to manage tasks, query boards, and automate workflows through natural language conversations.

monday.com is available on Claude's official connector directory for users on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans (on web, desktop, and mobile).

Prerequisites

• MCP is preinstalled on all monday.com accounts. If you can't connect, ask your admin to check Admin → Permissions → AI Connectors. See Managing AI Connectors & MCP Access for more information
• Claude account with Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan
• OAuth consent for monday.com when prompted

Team and Enterprise plans

For Team and Enterprise users: the setup process requires two steps due to organizational security controls:

• Organization setup (Primary Owner or Owner only) - configure the connector at the organization level
• Individual user setup - each user separately connects and enables the connector

This two step process ensures Claude only accesses monday.com data that each individual user has permission to access.

Organization setup (primary owner or owner only)

In Claude, navigate to settings and then to connectors. Next, toggle to Organization connectors at the top.

Under Connectors, locate monday.com and click on Enable. The connector is now available to your organization members

Individual user setup (all users)

In Claude, click on the Seach and tools button on the bottom of the chat interface:

Find the monday.com connector (which should be configured by your organization):

Enable the monday.com for your conversation. If not already authorized, click on the monday.com connector and then on the Connect button.

Complete the OAuth process by clicking on Approve and then Authorize:

Test the connector with this prompt: "List my monday.com boards":

Pro and Max plans

In Claude, click on the Connect your tools  button on the bottom left of the chat interface. Select Add connectors from the menu and find monday.com in the connector directory.

Click on the Connect button on the monday.com connector listing page. Authorize monday.com when redirected to the OAuth page.

Enable the connector by returning to the Connect your tools section to enable monday tools for your conversation

Test with this prompt: "List my monday.com boards".

Troubleshooting

• monday.com not in directory?
  Ensure you have a Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan
   
• Authorization failed?
  Ensure your admin has enabled AI Connectors - see Managing AI Connectors & MCP Access
   
• Connection timeout?
  Check your internet connection and corporate firewall settings
   
• Tools not showing?
  Check that the connector is enabled via the Search and tools menu
   
• Permission error?
  Verify your monday.com account has board access
