What is workflows?
monday AI workflows is a tool for bringing all of the elements of your workflow together by incorporating automations, integrations, delayed starts, and an intuitive interface to help you create the harmony your work needs, generated for you through the power of AI.
Completely customizable, workflows uses AI as well as drag-and-drop blocks to help you simplify your workflow. You can learn more about monday AI workflows in general here, but this article will help you use them within monday campaigns.
By incorporating workflows into monday campaigns, you can automate processes to simplify your email campaigns so you can work more efficiently and focus on results rather than repetitive tasks.
Setting up your campaign
To get started with workflows in monday campaigns, you first need to create a new campaign that's designed to work with a workflow by clicking on the + Create campaign button at the top of your screen:
Next, name your campaign and click on Create campaign:
Now you will need to select how this campaign will be sent. Click on the Include this campaign in a workflow option and then click on Save.
By selecting this option, you don't have to define who you're sending it to or when you're sending the campaign just yet, since the workflow you will create will later define these parameters.
After selecting that option, you can design your template and set up the rest of the campaign parameters: Content, From, and Subject.
Once the campaign is configured, you can send a test email to make sure everything looks exactly the way you'd like it to by clicking on the Send a test mail button on the bottom right side of the screen.
When everything is ready, click on Activate.
You'll see the following screen once you click on Activate:
When you're ready, click on Activate & Lock Campaign.
You will then see the campaign listed under your Email Campaigns with a status of Workflows:

If you would like to see a list of all existing workflows, you can access the Workflow center it up by clicking on the Autopilot robot button at the top right toolbar:
Click on the Workflows tab, where you'll be able to see all the workflows in this account, the status, workspace the workflow is located on, success rate, when it was last updated, and more.
You can also create a new workflow from here by clicking on + Add workflow to begin.
Building a workflow in monday campaigns
Once you have opened up the Create workflow page, name your workflow and decide whether you want it to be visible to everyone in your account (Main) or if you want to work on it just on your own or with selected team members (Private).
Once you're ready, click on Create.
Now you're ready to start building your monday campaigns workflow! There are countless ways to build your workflow in order to help streamline your email marketing process.
monday campaigns-specific workflow blocks
The majority of the workflow builder experience in monday campaigns is the same exact process found in any other monday product. However, there are several blocks that are specific to monday campaigns.
Send Campaign
To use the Send Campaign block, you will need to choose a Campaign from the list of configured campaigns, meaning the ones you've configured as a workflow campaign in the above step.
Campaign Result
You can choose which campaign result to look at and build a workflow based on that chosen result.
After you've selected the campaign result and the specific campaign to use, you can build the rest of your workflow.
For example, for the campaign result Opened: "Yes", you can build a block that changes the status of the item on the board. Then, for campaign result Opened: "No" you can add a block that will send the campaign once again.
You have the full functionality of the workflow builder available to you, so feel free to explore the options available to you.
