Admin
To explain it simply, an admin is a kind of "super user" who has the ability to oversee the entire account; managing everything from users, account settings, billing, and inviting new users to join the account. The owner of the account is automatically the admin of the account and can make other users on the account admins as well, via the Administration section.
Member
A member is a general user on the account who holds a seat in the product. Members have access to the WorkCanvas home page, as well as any teams and projects that they are added to. A member can also create their own canvases, teams, and projects, as well as add other members to them. Being a user on the account, members will also have access to the linked monday.com account.
Members can invite new members to an account via an authorized domain.
Viewer Restricted
Viewer restricted refers to to a user on your monday.com Work Management account, who is not issued a seat in the WorkCanvas product. Viewer restricted users are only able to view and comment on canvases.
monday.com Guest
A monday.com Guest is a user who is external to your organization and can only be invited to a monday.com Shareable Board. They will NOT be able to access your WorkCanvas account.
Visitor
A visitor refers to a user who has been sent a Public Access link to join a canvas. When sharing via Public Access, anyone with the link can access that specific canvas, but no other canvases on the account. If the user who creates the link enables "Anyone with a link can Edit", then any Anonymous user who receives that link can edit the canvas and forward the link on.
Owner
An owner refers to a user who has created either a team or project within the WorkCanvas account. They have the ability to add teammates, determine the teammates permission status, remove teammates, and create canvases in the team/project.
- Team Owner
The owner of a team can only delete projects and canvases in the team that they have created, and only have access to projects within the team that they are invited to. If the team owner leaves the team, then the new owner will be determined by the order in which they were added to the team.
- Project Owner
Only project owners can add teammates to a project and select their permissions.
Teammate
Teammates are the members added to different teams and projects. They can create projects and canvases in teams, as well as create canvases in projects. They also have access to other canvases created by the team. Teammates can view who is in their team/project and see their various permissions, but cannot add new teammates or change permissions.
Editor
Editors are members within the WorkCanvas account who are granted editing permissions within the account, teams and projects. Editors can create new canvases in the teams and projects that they belong to, as well as edit the canvases to which they have access. The editor permission may vary for each user in different teams and projects, as this permission is determined by the owner of the team/project.
Viewer
A Viewer is a user that has been granted viewing permissions in the teams and projects they are added to. They will only be able to view canvases that they have been granted access to. Viewers cannot edit a canvas or leave comments, but they can participate in a vote being conducted on a canvas.
