There are several places to implement monday AI within your account. You can easily start from the Template Center with an AI powered template or click the AI icon on any of your boards.
You can also take advantage of the power of AI by clicking on the AI star icon found across the platform, as well as using monday magic, sidekick, and monday vibe.

Who can use monday AI on my team?
All users in the account will be able to use monday AI features when it is enabled in your account.

What if I don’t see monday AI in my account?
If monday AI features are not available in your account, please contact your account admin to confirm that AI has been enabled on your account/workspace/board, or reach out to support.
Can I bring my own model or use my own API key with monday AI?
Currently, monday AI does not support bringing your own model or using custom API keys.
Understanding monday AI Data Practices
Which AI models does monday AI use?
monday.com utilizes a multi-provider strategy to power its AI capabilities, carefully selecting models to deliver accurate and efficient outputs across various use cases. Our foundational models include:
monday.com continually evaluates its AI model providers to ensure the highest quality experience for our users. Before any integration, all vendors undergo a comprehensive vetting process, including by our security and legal teams. This ensures they meet our standards before deployment. How long do monday.com's AI model providers store our data and do they use it for training?
monday.com’s AI model providers operate under Zero Data Retention commitments. This means they do not store any customer data processed through monday AI. Additionally, monday.com’s agreements explicitly prohibit the use of customer data for model training or any purpose other than processing the specific request.
In cases where the AI models are hosted on monday.com-controlled servers (such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, and Vertex), the model providers do not have any access to customer data at all.
What datasets are used to power monday.com's AI features?
monday.com’s AI features rely on licensed datasets from trusted providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) and synthetic datasets developed internally for evaluation and improvement of features.
The use of each dataset type depends on the model used in the specific feature, and to clarify — Customer Data is not used to train or enhance these models.
Does monday AI support data residency?
Yes. Data processed by monday AI will adhere to the same data region settings and policies as set in your account. Additional information can be found in our Sub Processor List.
Who owns the Content provided to monday AI
As between you and monday.com, you retain ownership of the content you provide, and the content generated by monday AI.
Will monday.com use my customer data or content to train AI models?
No, monday.com does not use your customer data or content to train its AI models, and we do not allow others to do so. While we may temporarily access your data (for up to 60 days) to monitor and improve our services, it is never shared with third parties or used for model training.
How does monday.com monitor and improve monday AI?
At monday.com, we are dedicated to delivering an intuitive and high quality experience with monday AI. To ensure features work seamlessly and meet your needs, we may review data from your interactions with monday AI. This allows us to detect and prevent harmful or unlawful activities, comply with legal obligations, and continually improve the platform. Your data is not used to train AI models.
Can I opt out of monday.com's temporary access to my content for Improvement?
Yes, you can opt out by submitting a request via ai-support@monday.com or by contacting your account representative. If your email address is linked to multiple monday.com accounts, please specify in your request which account(s) you want to opt out. Please note that only Admins can submit and complete this request. It may take up to 5 business days to process your request.

It’s important to note that AI outputs are influenced by the quality of the content you provide. We recommend that users review AI content outputs to ensure they align with their intended goals.
How does monday.com develop and test AI features?
Our AI development process at monday.com is iterative, thorough, and designed to prioritize both reliability and user safety. Each feature undergoes testing, including experimentation to optimize performance and safeguard against vulnerabilities. We also involve an internal "red team" tasked with simulating edge cases, attempting to disrupt the feature, and uncovering weaknesses. This ensures our AI capabilities are resilient, secure, and aligned with real world needs. Following internal testing, we roll out features gradually to monitor stability and gather feedback, allowing us to refine and improve the feature.
What are the limitations for using monday AI?
monday AI is designed to enhance productivity within a safe and responsible environment. To ensure ethical and proper use, it’s important to avoid certain activities. It must not be used to develop competing AI models or services, engage in unlawful or harmful activities, misrepresent AI generated content as human generated, or perform fully automated decision-making with significant impacts on individuals, without safeguards and transparency. Similarly, it is not intended to provide personalized financial, medical, or legal advice that typically requires a licensed professional.
Use of monday AI must comply with our AI Terms and Conditions, monday.com’s Acceptable Use Policy, and our AI model providers policies, including OpenAI’s Usage Policy, Sharing and Publication Policy, and Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy.

How does monday.com protect my data?
monday AI follows the same security protocols that are used for monday.com products, ensuring a consistent and robust approach to data protection. monday.com employs robust encryption protocols to protect data within monday AI. Does monday AI respect existing permissions?
Yes, monday AI respects permissions set within your account. Users will be able to create, view, or generate content based on resources they have authorized access to.
Is monday AI HIPAA compliant?
Yes, for customers in the healthcare industry who have executed a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with us, monday.com's AI is HIPAA compliant, enabling its use with protected health information (PHI) within the secure framework of the monday.com platform.
