How to change your email or password

 

Changing your email or password for your account can be done in few easy steps! Read on below to learn all about it. ⬇️

 

Note: You cannot change someone else's password, even if you are an admin.

 

How to change my email

To change your email address, start by clicking on your profile picture located at the top right corner of your account and then click on My profile as below:

Within your profile, choose the Personal info tab. Next, click on the word Email next to your e-mail address. Group 64 - 2024-08-05T124046.069.png

 

You will then be able to add your new email address: Group 64 - 2024-08-05T124232.080.png

 

After adding your new email address and current password, click Confirm and you are done!  🎉 

 

Note: If SSO is enabled on your account and you've changed your email, please contact your account admin to reset your UID (user ID) to avoid any issues logging in. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out to our team right here

 

How to change another user's email

If you are the admin of your account, you can easily edit another user's email address directly from the user management section! Once there, click on the three-dot menu to the right of the user's name and press Edit email address:

From the resulting pop-up screen, enter in the user's new email address and click on Change email address to proceed:

Once complete, the user will receive a confirmation email to the newly entered address which they must accept within three days in order to complete this change. In the event that the user does not confirm this email within three days, their email address will not be changed in your monday.com account. 

 

Edit multiple user email domains at once

Do you have multiple users who need to use a different email domain on your monday.com account? If this is the case, you can bulk edit the email domains of multiple selected users at the same time to easily and efficiently change their domain to the one you wish them to have.

To do this, simply click on the small box to the left of the desired user names, and select Email domain from the selection pane that appears at the bottom of the screen. Next, enter the new email domain and click on Change email domain. Finally, after the users confirm this selected change on their end, you'll be all set!

Tip: If you click on the small box to the left of the Name column here, all users will be selected for you to make the desired change!

 

Bulk change user emails from CSV

Are you looking to change the email addresses of many users at once on your account? Do you have a CSV file with the necessary changes ready to go? If so, you're in luck! You can now instantly perform a bulk change of user email addresses by uploading a CSV file that contains the needed changes. 🙌

 

Note: This feature is available on the Enterprise plan only. 

 

To get started, click on the three-dot menu at the top right of the user management section and select Import data from CSV. Next, click on the blue Upload button, or drag and drop the CSV file from your computer onto the screen that appears.

After you've uploaded your CSV file, all you have to do is select the column from your CSV file which contains the current email addresses of the users on your account. Then, select the column from your CSV file which indicates the new email addresses that you'd like to change the old ones to. Once completed, click on Start import and you're ready to go!

Changing users' email using a CSV file will a send confirmation email to users. In order to prevent the confirmation email from being sent to users, you can claim both your current and new email domains.

How to change my password

To change your password, click on your profile picture located at the top right corner of your account. Next, click on My profile as below:

Within your profile, choose the Password tab. From here, you will be able to change your password. Group 64 - 2024-08-05T123706.816.png

Frequently asked questions

  • As an admin, can I force a specific user or group of users to change their password?

It is not possible to force users to change their password.

 

  • Can I control how often users in my account have to change their password?
