Make your Vibe app public

Who can use this feature
gray-cloud.svgAvailable to accounts on the Vibe Growth package
gray-cloud.svgPublishing requires the board owner role; enabling the permission requires an admin

Public Vibe apps let you publish an app you built in monday vibe to the open web. Anyone with the link can view and use it, no monday account, login, or SSO required. This turns Vibe from an internal tool into an app you can hand to customers, partners, or anyone outside your account.

Note: Because a public app can read and write data to your board based on how it's built, review what data the app exposes before you publish it.

What are public Vibe apps?

A public Vibe app is an app you build in Vibe and share with anyone via a link, instead of keeping it limited to your account members. Vibe still reads and writes to your connected boards the same way, but access is no longer tied to a monday login.

Note: Public vibe apps are only available on the vibe growth package. Admins can see plan options within the Administration section.

Enabling public app permissions

Making a Vibe app public depends on an account-level permission that admins manage:

  • The permission Publish Vibe apps to the public web is off by default. Only admins on ENT accounts can turn it on.
  • Admins can unpublish any public app from the Admins section at any time.

Admins must enable publishing a Vibe app to the public web in the Administration section. If you're an admin, go to Administration, click AI governance, select AI permissions, and find Vibe permissions to set roles for publishing public Vibe apps.

How to publish a Vibe app to the public web

Vibe apps can only be made public if they are created as a full-page app on your account and not as a board, item, or dashboard view. Click on the + icon in your left pane, select Vibe from the dropdown list, and begin creating your Vibe app.

Once you have created your app and are ready to publish it, follow these steps to enable public access to it:

1Publish the app to your account as usual. It will first be visible to account members only, based on your permissions.

2Open the publish menu, change Who can access from "Only members can access" to Anyone with the link, then approve the permissions screen. This confirms that people outside your account will be able to view and edit connected board data through the app.

3Share the app URL with anyone you want to have access.

To take the app private again, switch Who can access back to "Only members can access" at any time.

Before you publish

Keep the following in mind as you decide how to build and publish your app. These details can help you set the right expectations for what your public app can do today.

What to know before you publish
  • Only full-page apps on the left pane are supported. Item view, board view, and dashboard widgets aren't supported yet.
  • Only applies to apps created after this feature was turned on for your account.
  • Only the app's board owner can publish it publicly.
  • Because a public app has no connected users, there's no per-user permission layer: anyone with the link can view and edit data based on the app's logic.
