Want to get a quick view and total sum from your Numbers Columns across boards? Are you managing budgets across multiple boards and need to see a total cost for all your projects? Our Numbers Widget in Dashboards can help you do just that!
How do I add it?
Click on "Add Widget" at the top of the Dashboard page to see the list of options and select "Numbers" as seen below:
How does it work?
Step 1 - Choose your boards
First things first: When creating your Dashboard, choose the boards that you want to showcase:
You can see the statistics from any or all of the boards on your Dashboard under "Boards" in the widget settings.
Step 2 - Choose the Numbers Column
Next, you can customize what information your Numbers Widget shows. You can choose the specific Numbers Column that you would like to count in each board under "Choose which columns to include." In this example, we are managing different events. Each event is a board containing a Numbers Column used for the budget. The goal is to see the overall budget of the events.
Step 3 - Customize
You can customize your result based on your needs under "More settings options." You have the option to choose whether you want to display the sum, average, or a certain currency, for example.
Select the groups
Finally, select the specific groups from the boards you chose. This is great if you want to see a particular group, or all your groups combined!
Continuing on our event example, you could create one widget to track the budget of all events per months. In this case, we have 3 widgets where we can see the total budget of January, February and March for all our events.
The Numbers Widget is great to get an overall sense of where projects stand numbers-wise and to keep track of total costs or numbers of multiple boards in one place! Use as many widgets as you'd like to organize all of your information in an accessible, organized way!
