Want to get a quick view and total sum from your Numbers columns across boards? Are you managing budgets across multiple boards and need to see a total cost for all your projects? Introducing the Numbers Widget in Dashboards!
How to add it?
Simply click on "Add New" at the top of the Dashboard page to see the list of options and select "Numbers".
How does it work?
Step 1 - Choose your boards
Once added choose the boards you would like to get data from:
In this example, let's say we are managing different events. Each event is a board containing a number column used for the budget. The goal is to see the overall budget of the events.
Step 2 - Choose the number column
Then choose the specific numbers column that you would like to count in each board:
You will see the option to select all of them or just a select few columns you want to see. This is great if you see a total sum of multiple numbers column across boards, or if you want to select specific columns to see in that section. In this example, we are counting the total budget.
Step 3 - Customize
You can customize your result whether you want to display the sum, the average, a certain currency or just anything you want.
Select the groups
Finally, select the specific groups from the boards you chose. This is great if you want to see a particular group, or all your groups combined!
Continuing on our event example, you could create one widget to track the budget of all events per months. In this case, we have 3 widgets where we see the total budget of January, February and March for all our events.
The number widget is great to get an overall sense of where projects stand numbers wise, and to track down total costs or numbers of multiple boards in one place! Use as many widgets as you'd like to organize all your information in an accessible, organized and visual way!
