Under this model, monday AI work platform customers must purchase both seats and AI credits as part of their setup, with seats covering the people using the platform and AI credits covering supported AI usage.

Attention: This article applies to customers who joined the monday Work Platform on or after May 6, 2026, and were offered to purchase seats and AI credits. This pricing model applies to the monday AI work platform only and does not affect monday CRM, monday dev, or monday service (with an exception for free monday vibe apps, for more details, see table below). If you signed up prior to May 6, 2026, or if you joined later but wish to transition your full experience to credit-based consumption, contact our support team or your dedicated Account Team for assistance.

monday AI portfolio continues to grow across the platform, and the pricing model is evolving with it. AI credits give you one unified way to use the full monday AI portfolio, with no complex add-on purchases. In this model, people use seats to work in the platform, while AI capabilities use credits based on usage.

  • One model across all AI capabilities: AI credits apply across the monday AI portfolio, so your team can get the most out of monday AI without evaluating or purchasing separate add-ons. You get the full AI platform experience, and credits measure the AI usage behind it.
  • Aligned with how AI is priced across the industry: A credit-based model reflects how leading platforms package and measure AI usage, giving you a straightforward way to plan and manage AI spend.
  • Simpler to manage: With one shared pool of credits across all supported AI capabilities, everything is measured in one place, giving admins visibility and control over how AI is being used across the account.
  • Scale based on how much AI you use: You can start with the minimum credit amount for your tier and increase your usage as your team adopts more AI capabilities, without changing your seat count or restructuring your plan.

 

How AI credits are included in your purchase

For customers who sign up to monday starting May 6, 2026, AI credits are included in the purchase flow from the start.

This means that when you purchase a monday AI work platform plan, AI credits must be purchased as part of your setup. In this model, seats cover the people using the platform, while AI credits cover supported AI usage.

The minimum AI credit quantity depends on your selected tier:

  • Basic: 1,000 AI credits per month
  • Standard: 2,000 AI credits per month
  • Pro: 3,000 AI credits per month
  • Enterprise: Contact our sales team for details

If you use up your AI credits before the end of your billing cycle, you can upgrade to the next AI credit bucket without changing your seat count. To do this, contact our support team or your Account Team.

Note: Some customers may receive discounted introductory pricing when AI credits are part of the purchase. This pricing is based on the selected tier and the minimum AI credit quantity associated with it.

Which AI capabilities are included in the model

The pricing model applies across multiple monday AI capabilities that are powered by AI credits.

These capabilities include AI Notetaker, AI blocks, monday sidekick, monday agents, monday vibe, and AI workflows.

Each capability uses AI credits differently depending on the type of usage involved.

 

AI credits consumption model

The table below shows how AI credits are used across supported monday AI capabilities under the pricing model:

Note: Credit usage is subject to change. AI features are available for all paying accounts, and are not available for free or non-paying NGO Pro accounts.

monday agents Credit consumption varies based on task complexity: Simple (~10–50 credits), Intermediate (~50–150 credits), Complex (~150–250 credits), Extra complex (~250+ credits). Each agent run may include multiple tasks depending on the prompt. Credit consumption for monday agents starts on June 8, 2026, for Pro plans and below. Enterprise plans are currently exempt, and will transition to credit-based usage at a later date.

Actual credit consumption may vary depending on the complexity of the message and the prompt. In addition, customers who purchase AI credits receive free live Vibe apps based on their plan: Basic: 1 live app, Standard: 2 live apps, Pro: 3 live apps, Enterprise: 5 live apps.

AI Notetaker 120 credits per hour Usage is measured by Notetaker minutes.
monday sidekick messages monday sidekick currently does not consume credits, but it will be monetized in the future.
monday sidekick image generation monday sidekick currently does not consume credits, but it will be monetized in the future.
AI workflows 8 credits per AI-powered workflow run. Usage is measured per AI-powered run.
AI blocks 8 credits per action. All actions carried out on the same item within a 24-hour period are counted once. Items and subitems are treated as separate entities for credit consumption. Actions performed on subitems are counted independently, and each subitem uses its own credits.

Manage AI usage with AI governance

Admins can use AI governance in the administration section to monitor AI credit usage, review which features are driving consumption, and set usage limits across the account.

 

On the Enterprise plan, admins can also use the AI permissions tab to manage more detailed access to supported AI features, including which account roles can use them.

 

As your account approaches its AI credit limit, notifications are triggered at 80% and 100% of usage. This gives your team visibility and time to take action before additional AI usage may be restricted. To help avoid disruption, some of your AI capabilities will continue running for a short period after the limit is reached, giving you time to top up your credits before any usage is paused.
