Notifications via automations and integrations let you send important updates from monday.com directly to channels like Slack, email, Microsoft Teams, and more. Email notifications

Email notifications in monday.com help you stay updated on important changes without needing to check your boards. By enabling email alerts, you can receive updates about assignments, mentions, status changes, and automation messages directly in your inbox.

Use this option if you prefer to track your work through email or want to ensure you never miss a key update. You will get an email notification whenever someone:

  • Assigns you to an item
  • Replies to your update
  • Updates an item you're an owner of
  • Updates an item you're subscribed to
  • Replies on a conversation you're a part of
  • Signs up after you invited them
  • Does not sign up after you invited them
  • Mentions you in a post or reply
  • Subscribes you to a Board/item/Team
  • Signs up with an email address from your account domain

How do I enable desktop notifications?

You can receive pop-up notifications right on your desktop, so you'll never miss something important. They can be really helpful if you're working outside of monday.com but still want to know when something requires your attention.

  1. Click your profile picture (top-right corner).
  2. Click the Notifications tab.
  3. Click Enable desktop notifications.

How do mobile notifications work?

You can also receive notifications via your mobile device, through iOS and Android apps. These notifications act similarly to other app notifications you'd receive on your device. Push notifications that you would receive on your mobile device would be synonymous with your bell notifications.

How do I customize notifications with automations?

With monday.com automations, you can customize bell and email notifications for you and your team.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

If you are not receiving notifications, check the notification type you are trying to receive (email, desktop, mobile, or an integration) and confirm it is enabled in the relevant settings area described above.

Can I choose who gets notified?

Yes. When you set up a notification automation, you can select who to notify in the automation template.

Can guests enable Slack notifications?

No. Guests are not permitted to enable Slack notifications.
