What is monday code?

monday code is a hosting infrastructure that streamlines the deployment and management of apps built in our ecosystem. monday code provides app developers with a fully managed environment, which eliminates the need for self-hosting while maintaining security and compliance standards.

When you see the Shield Badge on a marketplace app, it means that the app is hosted on monday code, our secure managed hosting environment.

What is the benefit of monday code for you?

monday code is a secure managed hosting platform for running monday.com apps, designed to make app deployment and management easy for developers while ensuring your data stays safe

Apps hosted on monday code can offer you the following benefits:

  • A secure hosting environment monitored and maintained by monday.com

  • Data residency that matches your monday.com account region (e.g. US, EU, AU)

  • Greater reliability: apps are scalable, monitored, and always available

  • Controlled data access: no data is shared outside of monday.com unless explicitly allowed by the app developer

Security and compliance

We have ensured that monday code meets enterprise-grade security standards including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA.

Note: Note: monday code is SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA compliant, but that does not mean that the app built with monday code is. Customers that require specific regulations need to check that apps built on monday code meet those requirements specifically.

Data privacy and control

Your data is stored in the same area as your monday.com account, and data removal is straightforward when an app is uninstalled. There is also an allowlist and blocklist for outgoing traffic.

Tip: Check out our monday app marketplace to see all the amazing apps built by external developers.
