What can we help you with?

Resource directory

Who can use this feature:
Available on monday Work Management
Available only on Enterprise plans

Manage your company’s resources with the account-level Resource Directory. This centralized hub lets you create and manage resources, assign key attributes like roles, skills, and locations, and easily filter to find the best matches for your projects.

By setting up the Resource Directory, you can add resources—like assignees and placeholders—directly to a project's Resource planner, ensuring the right people are assigned to the right projects.

Note: This feature is currently in gradual release. If you are not seeing it yet in your account, it will be available in the coming weeks.

Locate the Resource Directory

Click on your profile picture and select Resource Directory right under Administration.

Note: To access the Resource Directory, you must be an admin or have the "Access resource directory" account permission enabled.

From there, you’re all set to start managing your resources!

Note: When you first open the Resource Directory, it may take up to 24 hours to sync all your account members and teams for display.

Manage attributes

To get started, click on Manage attributes to define resource attributes like job roles, skills, and locations. This allows you to set up placeholders for future resources, ensuring your project needs are fully covered. Within each category, create custom labels that reflect your organization’s specific needs.

Note: You can add up to 500 values per attribute. You cannot delete values at this time, but you can rename or deactivate them.

Tip: Job roles you set in the Resource Directory will then be available to select as placeholders within a project's Resource planner.

Assign attributes to team members

Match your team members to their attributes by assigning previously defined job roles, skills, and locations to each resource. You can also assign each member to a specific team.

Note:  Each resource can have up to 30 skills assigned, but only one job role and one location.
