Portfolio integrations help portfolio owners create standardized projects from templates and connect them to the portfolio in one flow. If you were looking for the “Create project from template” integration, this is the new home for that capability. Portfolio integrations support workspace templates with projects, boards, dashboards, and docs, and work with both standard and Managed templates.

Set it up from your portfolio

Open your portfolio and click Automate to access the portfolio automations. 

From there, select Create, and then Integrations.

Search for Portfolio integrations and choose the option that fits your workflow.

What changed

• Portfolio integrations support project creation from workspace templates. Each workspace template must include at least one project board, and the portfolio connection links to the first project board in the template.
• Portfolio integrations work with both standard and Managed templates.
• The previous requirement to use the condition “When project tasks link is empty” is no longer needed, which reduces setup errors and makes the flow simpler.

How the link works

When a project is created from your template, the portfolio connects to the first project board in that template. If your template includes more than one board, make sure the intended project board is listed first so the portfolio links to the right one.
