How to rate apps in the marketplace


The app marketplace is loaded with apps that have been developed by external parties. So how can you be sure of the quality of an app before you integrate it into your monday.com workflow? That's easy - you can check the ratings left by other trusted monday.com users! Let's take a look at how app ratings work.


How does it work

You can rate any of the apps you have currently installed on your monday.com account. This helps us ensure that ratings are genuine and coming from someone who is really using the app. You cannot rate apps used in the past that have since been removed. Currently, there is no limit to how often you can rate an app or update a rating you've already given!


The rating is using a star scale from 1 to 5, where 1 is low and 5 is high. There is also an additional option to leave written feedback! If an app has received enough ratings, the average score will be displayed below the app on your "Installed Apps" page. 


How to rate apps 

To rate an app, open up the app marketplace by clicking the puzzle symbol in your toolbar. Then, click "Installed Apps".

Here, you can see all of the apps in your account in one window. Click one for more details and options. Then, click "Rate the app" to give a rating!

In the pop-up window, choose from 1 to 5 stars, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest rating. Next, you can compose a short written review, and click "Submit"!



How to view ratings

You can view the average rating for any app in the Marketplace that has enough ratings to generate an average. The average rating can be viewed on each app card in the Marketplace or when you open up an app for install or more information. 


The first number represents the app's average rating while the number in brackets shows how many people have voted. 



Note: We want the rating average to be an accurate depiction of the app's performance. To achieve this, we've set a minimum amount of ratings to be received before we aggregate and display a rating for our users. If you don't yet see a rating below an app, that just means it has not yet received enough user ratings.


Can I change my rating?

As long as the app is still installed on your account, you can change your rating as well as your written feedback! To do so, simply follow the steps you took to submit the initial review, change your rating, and click "submit" once more!
