monday vibe: store app data with Vibe DB

Vibe DB is a persistent database you add to your monday vibe app for high-volume data. It handles up to 1M items with fast reads, and your data stays in place when you rebuild your app. Use it when your app needs its own data layer that scales.

What is Vibe DB?

Vibe DB is a dedicated database for data that belongs to your Vibe app. It is purpose-built for high-volume, app-specific data such as:

  • Inventory records with thousands of SKUs
  • Audit logs and session data
  • Custom data schemas

Changes made in Vibe DB appear in real time for everyone using the app.

Note: Vibe DB holds up to 10GB per database, which fits approximately 1 to 2 million rows depending on how much data each row stores.

Add Vibe DB to your app

Add Vibe DB from the prompt box, or ask Vibe to set it up for you.

1Select + in the prompt box

2Select Integrations, then Advanced

3Select Create fast database, then select Add

You can also prompt Vibe directly, for example: "Use Vibe DB to store the data." Vibe creates the schema and connects all read and write operations for you.

Note: Vibe DB is available for left pane vibe apps created from August 26, 2026 onwards. It is not available for board view apps. Apps created before this date need to be recreated as left pane apps to use Vibe DB.

Manage your data in the Data tab

Open the Data tab in the vibe editor to view your Vibe DB items. Select your database from the dropdown next to the tabs to see your data. From there you can add new items with + Add item, edit values directly in each cell, delete items, and export your data to CSV.

Use Vibe DB and monday boards together

Vibe DB and monday boards work side by side in the same app. Use Vibe DB for high-volume data that belongs to your app and needs speed. Keep data on a board when it needs to connect to monday features like automations, agents, dashboards, forms, and more. Vibe connects the two for you.

A time-tracking app, for example, can store projects on a board and time entries in Vibe DB, with each entry connected to a project.

Example prompt: "Create a time-tracking app where projects are saved on a board and time entries are saved in Vibe DB. Connect entries to a project."

Note: You can ask Vibe to migrate existing board data into Vibe DB.
