Chase, the Project Pulse Keeper, is a monday agent that keeps your project board accurate. Chase finds items that fell behind, contacts the people responsible where they already work, and updates your board from their replies. You spend less time chasing status and more time managing the project.

Attention: Chase is in beta and is gradually expanding to more accounts. Chase doesn't charge AI credits during beta and may be monetized in the future.

What Chase does

Chase is designed for PMOs and project managers who run large projects with more tasks and owners than they can track personally. When many people work on a project, not everyone has time to update it. Overdue tasks go quiet, work stalls without a signal, and status reports can show green when reality is red.

Chase closes that gap in three stages:

  • Detect: Chase scans your board on a schedule for items that are overdue, stalled, or missing an owner, based on the rules you configure.
  • Reach out: Chase contacts each task owner in monday updates or Slack with a specific question about a specific item. People reply in plain language, with no logins or forms.
  • Update: Chase reads the reply, updates the board, and lets you know what was closed.

Chase works only within the actions you approve. You can allow Chase to change statuses, add updates, and tag people in monday or Slack to request information.

Note: Chase doesn't manage your project or make prioritization decisions.

 Set up Chase

Select Agents at the top right of the project board, and choose Explore Chase. If your account is part of the beta rollout, you may also see a pop-up that introduces Chase.

Chase comes with ready-made rules that you can modify, such as overdue items or items with no recent update.

Review Chase's first dry run. Chase shows the gaps it found and how it would fix them, and takes no action yet.

Approve the run. Chase then works on your schedule and keeps the board current.

Note: Chase is tied to one project and one person. Only one agent can run per project, and only the project owner who activates it can use it. If a project has more than one owner, one of them activates Chase.

Work with Chase on your board

Each time Chase runs, you see the issues it flagged based on your rules and instructions. Chase adds a banner to your project with an overview. Select a flagged issue to discuss it with Chase, or open a side-by-side chat while you work on your board.

Best practices

  • Start with the ready-made rules, then adjust them as you see what Chase flags.
  • Approve only the actions you are comfortable with Chase taking.
  • Review the issues after each run to confirm the loop closed.
