Jira Server Integration


With this integration you are able to manage your tasks, issues, and bugs from your Jira Server account in your monday.com account! Note:  This integration is available on our Enterprise plan only.


How to add Jira Server to your workflow?

Step 1

To add an Integration, go to the board you want to create an Integration for and click on the Integration button, located on the upper right of your screen as below: 
Once on the page, you will see all of the amazing apps we offer to integrate with, then go ahead and select "Jira Server": 



Step 2

Once you click on the Jira Server integration banner you will find the four recipes the integration offers:

  • When an item is created, create an issue in this project
  • When status changes to something, create an issue in this project
  • Every time period, update this item with a summary of changes in this project
  • When an issue is created in this project, create an item and sync future changes from Jira


Select the automation you wish to create. 


Step 3

Once you click on one of the recipes you will be asked to enter connect with your Jira Server Account. 


Note: Please note that you must be an admin on the Jira Server account for this integration to work.


These are the steps to follow to get your credentials. 

  • Username: Navigate to your Jira--> your profile--> and copy your user name.


  • Password: Enter the password for your Jira account
  • Base URL: Navigate to your Jira-->Administration--> System--> and copy the address under Base URL. 


Congrats! 🎉  You are connected to your Jira Server account. Let's boost things up! 


Note: To set the integration you'll have to unblock the following IP addresses from your firewall -  meaning the following range (containing 256 public addresses to


Step 4

Once the account is connected, you can customize your recipe any way you want with the applicable fields. For example, when an issue is created in a project in Jira, you can create it as an item on your board:


You can also set a reminder if you want to update your team members with a summary of an issue in your projects in Jira:



How to delete it?

You can turn off and/or delete your automation in the automations menu:


You can also edit the integration and the Jira account you want to connect it to in case you change your mind later!


Supported fields for mapping

Currently, the following fields are supported for mapping the integration between Jira and monday.com: issue key, issue type, project, string, priority, user, status, option, resolution, number, watches, time, date, progress, story points and votes. 

Note: At the moment, next-generation projects are not supported.
