PagerDuty Integration

 

Is this feature available on my account?
If your account subscribes to monday dev, this feature is available on the standard plan and above.
If your account subscribes to monday sales CRM, monday marketer, monday projects, or monday work management, this feature is not available for your account.
If your account does not subscribe to any products, this feature is available on the standard plan and above.

 

Do you use PagerDuty for emergency notifications and need a way to track it in your monday.com account? Integrate your PagerDuty account directly with monday.com to automate your workflow!  

 

Adding the PagerDuty integration

To add an Integration, go to the board you want to create it for and click on the Integrate button on the upper right of your screen as below:Group 64 - 2024-11-18T183037.696.png

 

When you reach the Automation center, look for the PagerDuty integration banner:Group 64 - 2024-11-19T130739.293.png

 

Once you click on the integration banner, you'll see the available templates:Screenshot 2024-11-19 at 13.09.04 1.png

 

Once you choose the template you want to use, you will need to connect your monday.com account with your PagerDuty account:Screenshot 2024-11-19 at 13.12.14 1.png

You'll now need to enter your PagerDuty API Token, which you can generate from your PagerDuty account.

 

How to create a PagerDuty API token

When in PagerDuty, click on Integrations on the navigation bar and then click on API Access Keys:Group 64 - 2024-11-19T132254.576.png

 

Once you reach this page, click on Create new API Key:Group 64 - 2024-11-19T132504.577.png

 

Enter an API Key description and then your API Key will be generated:Group 64 - 2024-11-19T132648.233.png

 

 

Paste the API Key into the monday integration Connect page, and you'll be done connecting the integration:Group 64 - 2024-11-19T132835.244.png

 

 

 

Now comes the fun! Click on each underlined item to customize the integration template. First, you'll need to select which PagerDuty service you want to create an item from:Screenshot 2024-11-19 at 13.29.20 1.png

  

Tip: You can create multiple integrations, one for each of your services.

 

You can now fully customize which data to pull from PagerDuty into monday.com columns! The columns will be based on which columns are on your board—feel free to customize them according to your workflow:Screenshot 2024-11-19 at 13.30.38 1.png

 

Once you've got integrations set for all of your incidents and groups set for all of your services, your PagerDuty board will be complete.

 

Supported fields for mapping from PagerDuty to monday.com

The following fields are supported for mapping between PagerDuty and monday.com: incident status, incident urgency, incident assignee, incident title, incident description, incident creation date, incident key, incident service, incident number, name, text, numeric, integration data, date and user email. 

 

How to delete the integration

You can turn off and/or delete your integration in the Board automation tab of the Automation center:Group 64 - 2024-11-19T133442.935.png

To turn the integration on or off without deleting it, you can use the toggle to switch between on and off.

To delete the integration, click on the three dot menu on the right and then click on Delete integration.

You can also use any of the other options available on the dropdown menu.
