Twilio is a cloud communications platform that allows you to programmatically send and receive phone & text messages and perform other communication functions. Now, with our new integration, you are able to reach out and connect with your clients, employees, freelancers, and managers via Phone calls & SMS!
How to add it to your workflow?
Then you will need to choose ״Create new Account״ if you do not already have a Twilio account:
How to sign-up to Twilio?
To sign up for a new Twilio account, you can sign up at Twilio.com or click on "Create new account" from the bottom of the Twilio connection page when setting up a recipe.
Set-up your Twilio account
To connect your Twilio account you will need 3 things – Your Twilio account’s SID, your Twilio Authentication Token and your assigned Twilio phone number.
Once you are logged in you can find your SID and Auth Token by going to your Twilio dashboard and clicking on "See All" at the bottom.
Next, select the "3rd Party Integration option:
Then give the project a name, like "monday.com":
Finally, you can copy and past your SID and Auth Key into monday.com from the Project Info screen in Twilio.
Get your Twilio phone number
For these recipes to work, you will need to have purchased a number from Twilio capable of sending SMS messages.
You can do this by clicking on the country you want and then "Get a Number" button in the bottom left of your Project Dashboard and purchase the best number for you.
So how does it work?
To understand better how this integration works, let's dive into an easy example: when an item is created, send someone an SMS.
A. Choose your account
First, select the Twilio number you want the SMS to appear from:
Next, let's fill in the relevant information to the recipe:
B. Choose your SMS text
When you will click on “SMS” you will see a box where you will enter the text of the SMS,
C. Choose the recipient
Finally, we should select who will receive the SMS
What about phone calls?
We now support integrations with phone actions. Let's say you want to set up a call to someone after you have changed a status. Similar to the steps above let's now add one when a column changes:
A. Set up your recipe
Select the Status columns that you want to be triggered. Then select the label on the Status column that you select that will initiate the call:
B. Select who you want to make the call out to!
You can select other team members or you can add a Phone column where your client's phone number could live.
C. Choose your Phone message
When you will click on “say” you will see a box where you will enter the text of the message, select the type of voice and the language and accent for the message to be spoken in:
And voila! You know can send voice messages from monday.com through Twilio!
