Do you need to keep track of different locations in your work or personal plans? Perhaps you have several international clients, travel a lot, or like to organize information visually using a map. Managing location logistics can be time-consuming and tiresome, so let the Map View lessen some of the burden! 🗺
Add a Location or Country Column
First things first. The Map View will show the locations found in your Location Column or Country Column, so make sure to add these columns to your board. 😊
Add a Map View to a board
To add the Map View to your board, click on the option at the top of your board (it will say "Add View" when you hover over it). Select "More views" and choose "Map" from the Views Center. You will then see all the locations from your board on the map! The map markers are colored according to the board group they correspond to:
You can also add a new board view by clicking on "Board Power-Ups". Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of your screen. Select "Board Power-Ups", "Board Views" and choose "Map" from the Views Center:
Add a Map View widget to a Dashboard
To add the Map View widget to your Dashboard or Dashboard View, click on "+ Add widget" and select "Widgets Center". Search for "Map" and add the widget!
Add and edit items directly from the map!
To add or edit any item directly from the map, choose any location marker and click "View Item". The item's pop-up view will open, allowing you to make changes to your item without having to toggle between your Main Table View and the Map View!
To create a new item directly from the Map View, simply click on the blue "New Item" button at the top left of your screen and fill out the respective columns of the new item in its pop-up view!
Set a default zoom level
You can now set a default zoom level on your map so you can see all your markers in perfect proximity! Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of your map to access Settings and choose which zoom level you'd like in the "Zoom Level" section. Input any number between 1 and 22 (1 is the widest zoom and 22 is the closest zoom). This number will stay as the default for your map!
