Notes about Beta
Revenue Intelligence is designed for team use. Here's how Revenue Intelligence will work for multiple users on the same account while in BETA:
- First user completes the Guided setup (see more in the Guided setup section of this article) or activates Revenue Intelligence from Emails & Activities. This locks in the Deals board for the account.
- Additional users skip the Guided setup entirely and go straight to the Engage tab.
- If the first user activated from Emails & Activities (without completing the full Guided setup), the next user who opens Revenue Intelligence from the sidebar may be asked to complete the remaining column mapping steps (status column, won/lost values, owner column) for the Deals board. The board selection will already be filled in and locked based on the board used when accessed from Emails & Activities.
- Regardless of setup, each user will see their own personalized recommendations, meetings, and suggestions based on their deals and activity.
Before you start
To get the most out of Revenue Intelligence, make sure the following are in place:
- Deals board: Your account must be using the Deals entity board with active deals.
- Calendar connection: Connect your Google or Outlook calendar to see upcoming meetings and use Meeting Prep.
- Email connection: Connect your email to enable email-based AI suggestions and activity tracking.
- AI Notetaker: Connect AI Notetaker to record and transcribe meetings.
Revenue Intelligence will work with whatever connections you have in place. The more data sources connected, the richer and more accurate the recommendations will be!
Guided setup
The first user on your account to open Revenue Intelligence will go through a one-time guided setup. This connects Revenue Intelligence to your team's Deals board and CRM structure.
To get started, open the left pane and click Revenue Intelligence.
1 Choose where your deals live
Select your workspace. Guided setup will automatically select the Deals entity board under that workspace.
2 Select the deal status column
Choose the Status or Deal stage column from the dropdown. This allows Revenue Intelligence to generate stage-based recommendations.
3 Confirm won and lost statuses
Confirm which status values represent Closed won and Closed lost. This ensures recommendations focus only on your active pipeline.
4 Select the deal owner column
Select the Person column that represents the deal owner. This enables personalized recommendations per rep. If no Person column exists on the board, you'll see an option to create one.
Setup only needs to be completed once. Once setup is complete, you'll land on the Engage tab. Other users on your account will also go directly to the Engage tab when they open Revenue Intelligence.
The board will be locked for your account during BETA.
Setup and preferences
After completing the initial Guided setup, you can manage your Revenue Intelligence configuration at any time.
Navigate to CRM Intelligence → Setup and preferences to access the settings page.
Deals board
At the top of the settings page, you'll see the connected workspace and deals board. During the BETA, the workspace and board are locked and cannot be changed. They were set during the initial guided setup.
Column mapping
This section defines how Revenue Intelligence understands your deal lifecycle. You can update the following at any time:
- Owner column: The Person column used to attribute insights to each rep and personalize recommendations.
- Deal status column: The Status column that defines which stage each deal is in.
- Won status: The status value that represents Closed won. Deals with this status are excluded from recommendations.
- Lost status: The status value that represents Closed lost. Deals with this status are excluded from recommendations.
Changes to column mapping take effect immediately and update recommendations across all Revenue Intelligence screens.
AI instructions for CRM updates
This section controls which board columns Revenue Intelligence is allowed to suggest updates for. You can add, remove, or modify columns — and define a custom AI instruction for each one.
How it works:
- When you first set up Revenue Intelligence, the system auto-generates a default AI instruction prompt for each initially selected column.
- If you add a new column later, you'll need to write the AI instruction yourself.
- Revenue Intelligence will only generate CRM update suggestions for columns listed in this section. If a column is not included here, no AI suggestions will be generated for it.
Examples of columns you can configure: Deal stage, Close date, Deal value, Summary, Metrics.
Engage tab
The Engage tab is your daily starting point. It surfaces AI-generated recommendations and your upcoming meetings in one view.
Your next best moves
When you open the Engage tab, you'll see a personalized list of recommended actions. Each item includes an icon, a clear title, context explaining why the action is suggested, and a button to take action.
Types of recommendations include:
- Follow-up recommendations: A prompt to follow up on a deal after a period of inactivity or in case a meeting was held without following up with the client. Click Generate email to generate a follow-up draft using AI.
- Missing CRM data: A flag indicating which deal fields are missing or need to be updated based on the latest activities data — such as deal value, deal stage, or summary. Click Review to see the details, or Dismiss to remove the suggestion.
- Deal enrichment suggestions: Recommended updates for deal stage, deal value, metrics, or summary based on recent interactions.
- Inbound lead response: A prompt when a new incoming email requires attention. Click Generate email to generate a follow-up draft using AI.
Daily meeting timeline
On the right side of the Engage tab, you'll see your upcoming meetings for the day. Each meeting card shows the time, title, participants, and meeting link.
From each meeting card, you can:
- Click Invite notetaker to add AI Notetaker to the meeting. Once invited, the card will show "Notetaker invited."
- Click Meeting prep to open a full preparation brief for that meeting (see the Meeting Prep section below).
If a meeting is missing its meeting link, you'll see a "Missing meeting link" indicator on the card.
Meeting prep
When you click Meeting prep from a meeting card on the Engage tab, a preparation view opens. Here, you'll find everything you need to walk into your meeting prepared.
AI-generated meeting intelligence
- Highlight: A concise AI briefing summarizing the last interaction, open concerns, deal progress, and critical context.
- Recap: A structured summary of recent discussions, objectives, and progress. Includes a count of sources used.
- Suggested Talking Points: Context-aware recommendations based on prior conversations, objections, and the current deal stage.
- Risks: Potential deal risks surfaced by AI — such as budget concerns, legal blockers, or competitive threats.
Stakeholder & company intelligence (left panel)
- Key Stakeholders section: Contact cards for each participant, including name, title, company, and LinkedIn and email links.
- Company Details section: Company logo, size, location, industry, and a short description sourced from the web and your CRM data.
AI suggestions tab
The AI Suggestions tab analyzes your recent calls and timeline activity to recommend CRM updates across your deals. Open the AI suggestions tab from the top navigation bar.
Select a deal
This scrollable list shows your active deals. Each deal displays a badge with the number of pending suggestions. A blue dot to the right indicates unreviewed suggestions. Click any deal to see its suggested updates.
Review suggestions
On the right, for each deal, you'll see one or more suggested CRM field updates. Each suggestion includes:
- An AI insight banner explaining the reasoning — for example, "Demo completed and buyer expressed interest" or "Annual deal value mentioned as $35,000."
- An editable field with the AI-suggested value. You can modify it before applying.
- A Sources dropdown showing the exact source references — such as timestamped quotes from call transcripts, emails, or meeting summaries.
- An Apply button to update the CRM field instantly.
Bulk actions
- Click Apply all to accept all suggestions for a deal at once.
- Click Dismiss all to clear all suggestions for a deal.
When you apply a suggestion, the corresponding field on your deals board updates immediately.
AI Auto-updates in Emails & Activities
Revenue Intelligence also surfaces CRM update suggestions directly inside the Emails & Activities timeline on individual deals. You can review and apply updates without leaving the deal view.
How it works
- Open a deal on your deals board and navigate to Emails & Activities.
- If there are new AI-suggested updates based on recent activity, you'll see a banner at the top: "You have X new AI Auto-updates. Review them to update your board columns."
- Click Review suggestions to open the AI Auto-updates panel.
Reviewing suggestions
For each suggested update, you'll see:
- The CRM column to be updated (e.g., Metrics, Deal Stage, Summary)
- An AI insight summary explaining the recommendation
- An editable text field with the AI-generated content
- A Sources dropdown with exact references — including timestamped quotes from transcripts, emails, and call recordings
- An Apply button to update the field
As you apply suggestions, the deal info panel on the right side of the screen updates in real time. You can also use Apply all or Dismiss all at the top of the panel. Click Back to close the overlay and return to the timeline.
Review your Calls
The Calls tab centralizes all your customer meetings in one place — making every call searchable and actionable. Open the Calls tab from the top navigation bar.
Upcoming
At the top of the screen, you'll see your upcoming meetings. Each item shows the date, time, title, participant avatars, and a meeting link. Click Invite notetaker to add AI Notetaker to any upcoming meeting.
Meeting summaries
In the Meeting summaries section, you'll find a table of past meetings. The table includes:
- Meeting name
- Participants
- Date
- Recording length
- Notetaker status (Recorded, Declined, or Failed to join)
Use the Search bar to find specific meetings by name or keyword. Use the Filters to show only recorded meetings or only your meetings.
Inside a meeting summary
Click any meeting in the table to open the full summary. Inside, you'll find:
- Transcript: The full meeting transcript with speaker identification.
- AI summary: A concise overview of the meeting with key topics, decisions, and next steps.
- Recording: A searchable video recording of the meeting.
- AI chat: Ask any question about the call — such as commitments made, risks discussed, objections raised, competitors mentioned, or next steps — and receive answers based on the transcript.
FAQs
Check out some of our frequently asked questions and answers.
What are the limitations during BETA?
During BETA, Revenue Intelligence operates on a single Deals board per account — specifically, the account's Deals entity board. This board is locked once selected and cannot be changed. Full multi-board support is planned for a future release.
What is an entity board?
As a monday CRM subscriber, your account comes preconfigured with a collection of boards we call entities. Entities are boards that are core to the product and were built with the other monday CRM entities in mind. These boards are interconnected in several key ways. Each board contains thoughtful details that make it uniquely useful for CRM users.
These include your Contacts, Leads, Deals, Accounts, and Activities boards.
Does Revenue Intelligence currently enforce activity-level permissions (for example, private emails)?
Not yet. At the moment, the AI processing that runs on activities does not take activity-level permissions into account. It runs on raw activity data, including private emails, regardless of visibility restrictions. This is a limitation during BETA.
Is Revenue Intelligence free?
Revenue Intelligence is free to use during BETA. Availability and pricing may change once BETA ends.
Do I need AI Notetaker to use Revenue Intelligence?
AI Notetaker is not strictly required, but it is strongly recommended. Without Notetaker, call recordings and transcript-based insights will not be available. Revenue Intelligence will still work with email and CRM data, but the recommendations will be less comprehensive.
Is AI Notetaker free?
No. AI Notetaker is a separate add-on with pricing based on recorded hours. Any Pro or Enterprise account can get started with a 25-hour free trial. To learn more about AI Notetaker pricing, check out the AI Notetaker article.
What meeting platforms are supported?
Revenue Intelligence works with meetings on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet — the same platforms supported by AI Notetaker.
Can I change the Deals board after setup?
During BETA, the Deals board is locked after the initial setup and cannot be changed. If you need to switch boards, please reach out to our Support team.
What happens if I don't have a calendar or email connected?
Revenue Intelligence adapts to the data you have available. Without a calendar, the meeting timeline and Meeting Prep features will be limited. Without email, email-based suggestions won't appear. You can connect these at any time to unlock the full experience.
Who can see my AI suggestions?
Each user sees suggestions relevant to their own deals and activity. Suggestions are personalized per user.
Does Revenue Intelligence use AI credits?
No. Revenue Intelligence does not consume AI credits during BETA.
Can a viewer apply CRM suggestions?
No. Users with viewer permissions have read-only access to Revenue Intelligence. They cannot apply, dismiss, or generate actions.
