Organize your WorkForm with content blocks and pages

You can use Content Blocks and Pages to add structure, context, and professional flow to your WorkForms. These features allow you to divide questions into sections or add rich text descriptions between questions to guide your team.

We've got your style needs covered! 😏

Add Content Blocks

Content blocks enable you to add rich text sections, such as titles, descriptions, or dividers, between questions in your form. They help clarify instructions, add context, and maintain a professional flow throughout the form!

From here, you can customize your content block within the builder by adding the text you would like it to contain. For example, you can insert a short paragraph explaining data privacy before a consent checkbox to help submitters understand what they’re agreeing to.

Manage question layout

The layout options for your form are managed by positioning your questions either within a single page or outside of the page. Customizing the layout is a useful way to keep your form questions organized. You can use a page to group all of your questions into a single view, or divide questions outside of the page to have some questions appear one by one in your form.

The default layout of a form is all questions on a single page. This layout means your questions will appear all at once for a submitter.

If you wish to set your question to appear one by one, you can delete the page by clicking on the Trash icon in the bottom right corner of the page.

Tip: The one-by-one format is great for feedback surveys, contact sales, forms, requests, registrations, and more!

You can also combine standalone questions with a section of grouped questions in your WorkForm. To do this, drag the questions you want outside the page in the question outline. Questions moved outside will appear individually in the form, while questions within the page will be displayed together.

To consolidate all questions onto one page, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the question outline and select Group all questions from the dropdown. Questions moved outside the page will be relocated to a single page, keeping your form's layout contained within one page.

Add multiple pages

If you require your form to contain different sections, you can add multiple pages to the form to divide your questions into these various sections, keeping your form structured, organized, and clear!

Note: Adding multiple pages is only available to Pro and Enterprise plans.

To add a Page to your WorkForm:

1Click the + Add content button in the left-hand pane.

2Select the Content blocks tab.

3Select the Page content block checkbox.

4Click + Add to form.

Once you have added pages, you can organize your questions to control how they appear to submitters. Decide which questions to divide into new sections by dragging and dropping existing questions onto a page, or by clicking on the + button on the page block to add a new question.

When a submitter fills out the WorkForm, the questions are divided into the various pages, allowing them to concentrate on the questions on each page/section.
