Enterprise teams using on-premise systems can now connect their tools to monday more securely and at scale. Shared connection configurations allow admins to centrally create and manage on-premise credentials once, then safely reuse them across users and workflows—without exposing sensitive information or requiring per-user setup.
Shared connection configurations introduce an admin-managed model that makes on-premise integrations easier to govern, faster to deploy, and safer to operate at scale.
Key capabilities
Admin-only credential management
Only admins can create, edit, or delete on-premise connection configurations.
Reusable shared configurations
A single on-premise profile can be used by multiple users and teams across the account.
Controlled access
Admins can decide which users or teams are allowed to use each shared configuration.
Secure by design
Credentials are never exposed to end users and remain encrypted according to monday’s compliance standards.
Creating a profile
Navigate to the Administration section and then click on the Connections tab on the left sidebar. Next, click on the On-premise profiles tab and click on + New profile:
Fill in the relevant information and then save.
Once a profile has been created, you have the ability to edit or delete it by clicking on the three-dot menu location on the left side of the profile in question:
After the on-premise profiles are set up, anyone in the account that admin has granted access to the on-premise profiles can choose from the list of connected profiles when setting up an on-premise integration.
For example, when configuring a connection in the Workflow Builder between monday.com and Jira Data Center:
Known limitations
The following limitations apply in the current release:
- Only on-premise integrations are supported in this phase
- If an admin removes a user’s access to a shared credential, existing connections created by that user will remain active
- To fully revoke access, admins must also remove the user’s integration permissions from the Admin settings
- Credential expiration management is not supported yet
- No dedicated audit log is available at this stage
These areas are planned for future enhancements.
Compatibility and security
Backwards compatible
Existing on-premise integrations will continue to work with no changes
Security
No new external endpoints were added, and credentials remain encrypted and stored according to monday’s compliance standards
