Cursor is fully integrated into monday dev, enhancing the way you interact with your items and repositories through an AI-powered, developer-first workflow.
By using Cursor directly in monday dev, you can run multiple AI tasks at once, and keep them running in the background, so you can launch multiple agents on the same repo simultaneously, work across several tasks without IDE context switching, and move forward without waiting for one task to finish before starting the next.
What the integration does
Send tasks directly to Cursor from your monday dev item and complete tickets without opening up your IDE.
Just tag @Cursor in the updates section of an item. Once tagged, Cursor will receive the item data (name and description), your instructions, open a pull request for your review, and notify you when it's done.
If you're not satisfied with the changes Cursor made, simply reply to it with your feedback and it will update the PR accordingly.
How to set up the integration
1Navigate to the item you want to use Cursor for.
2In the item update section, tag @Cursor to initiate a connection.
3If you haven’t connected Cursor to monday dev yet, click the Connect button next to the Cursor agent.
4Follow the link to generate your API token, then enter the required information to complete the connection.
Now you can tag Cursor on your tasks and trigger tasks with no need for context switching!
Using the integration
To implement a task, tag Cursor in the update section and then include the relevant repository URL along with a prompt that will guide Cursor on how to handle the task.
You will then see a response from Cursor updating you on the task's progress, item title, and description.
You don't have to wait on the update page either, so even if you close the ticket you will receive a notification when Cursor completes the task, keeping you informed in real time.
The output will include what Cursor completed for the task and a pull request with all the code that was added, which you can open and review.
Cursor also automatically documents the "why" and "how" of every change, creating a shared history for the team without any manual documentation.
