Step up your ceremonies with Daily Standup

We've all been there: it's the morning and you're at your team's daily standup. All of a sudden, it's your turn to share what you've been up to and your mind goes blank. What did you get done yesterday? You take another sip of coffee and try to jog your memory as your teammates wait for your answer. With monday dev's Daily Standup feature, you won't find yourself in this scenario again. Not only will you stay on top of your daily ceremonies, we'll help you make them more efficient, engaging, and dare we say it -- fun.

 

What is Daily Standup?

The Daily Standup feature will help your team easily navigate through the daily check-in process with a clear and structured view. It will organize your updates, actively learn your activity, and uses AI to suggest smart follow-up recommendations. It's like a helpful teammate that actually knows what you should do next.

 

How it works

Daily Standup can be found located in your your sprint's menu by clicking on the three dot menu on the top of your Sprint. Then click on Daily standup, which will open up the feature.Group 64 - 2025-04-16T151909.518.png

 

On the left hand side, you will see a list of all team members that have been assigned a task in the current sprint. If you scroll to the bottom, you'll find the Unassigned tasks section which holds all unclaimed tasks until a team member will be ready to take them.Group 66 (12).png 

When their name is clicked on, each selected team member will be able to see the following three columns:

  • Last 24 hours - What's been accomplished over the past 24 hours.
  • Currently work  - Your tasks, classified by AI as "In Progress."
  • Suggested tasks to start - AI-generated recommendations for what to tackle next. For example, if you're done with all of your tasks, you can take on one of the unassigned tasks to contribute to the team effort.Group 64 - 2025-04-16T155348.981.png

 

At the top right side of the modal, you will see a timer that you can use to track speaking time for each member during your daily ceremony, ensuring that discussions stay on track and limiting each person's speaking time. This can also help prevent side conversations, which make everything less efficient for everyone!

 

Other features include the next and previous buttons, which allow you to move through team members at your own pace. Want to keep things interesting? Use the Pick random to choose the next speaker.Group 65 (26).png

 

Powering up your daily ceremony using AI

The Suggested tasks to start column is AI generated and uses your team's activity and current workload to suggest the next best tasks for each team member. Let AI do the planning for you and your team so you can focus on actually getting the work done.
