Dashboards are a great way to display what's important in just one place. With 15 available widgets users can now understand project progress, track budget, estimate teammates workload and much more! It helps to keep your team focused and motivated on the high-level goals and boost productivity!
What are dashboards?
Dashboards are here to facilitate your workflow, and make sure you stay updated on what is happening in multiple boards. Create summaries, reports, and get a high-level view of everything that is important to you! Select and organize groups from multiple boards in one dashboard. Centralize your data in one location, and use our widgets to have all the tools and information you need in one view.
Add a dashboard
Step 1 - Add a dashboard
Click on the + new icon located next to the workspace you'd like to add that dashboard to. Next, click on "Dashboard" as below:
Alternatively, you can also add a dashboard directly from your preferred folder. Click on the three dots menu next to your folder's name and click on "create dashboard in folder" as below:
Step 2 - Choose your dashboard type
You can choose whether you want your dashboard to be public or private.
- If your dashboard is public, it will be visible by everyone in your account
- If you choose the private option, your dashboard will be visible by yourself and the selected team members you are inviting to it.
We will be explaining this further later on in this article.
Step 3 - Pick your boards
Select the boards you'd like to use in your dashboard. The amount of boards you can pick depends on the plan you have purchased. For more information check out this article.
Step 3 - Add the widgets
Your dashboard is made of different widgets. You can use each widget to display specific information from any board. To add a new widget, simply click on the add widget icon and select the type of widget you would like to display.
Who can see my dashboard?
There are two types of dashboards: Main Dashboards and Private Dashboards.
- Main Dashboards
If your dashboard is a Main Dashboard, everyone in your account will be able to see it. In your Main Dashboard, you can also invite guests users.
- Private Dashboards
If you choose the private option, then your dashboard will be visible by yourself and the selected team members or guests you are inviting to it.
You can share your Private Dashboard with your team members and guests super easily! Click on the "Share" icon located on the upper right of your dashboard. Click "Subscribers & Guests" to invite your team members or guests.
You can also share your dashboard with colleagues who aren't part of your account! Click on the "Share" icon located on the upper right of your dashboard. Click "Invite to this dashboard" to send a link or email invitation to your colleagues to make them read-only viewers of your dashboard.
You can change your dashboard from main to private and vice versa at any point. Click on the three dots menu located on the upper right of your dashboard and select "change type to" as below:
Print and Export my Dashboard
Print my Dashboard
To print your Dashboard, click on the "Share" menu on the upper right of your dashboard and select "Print Dashboard". You can also use the shortcut Cmd + P on Mac and Ctrl + P on PC.
Export my dashboard to Excel
Currently, it's not an option to export your entire dashboard to Excel but you can export the following widgets to Excel:
Just click the Excel icon at the top of your widget to export it:
The Chart Widget can be exported as different file types. Click the 3 dot menu above the widget and select "Export" to launch a menu of file types:
Edit my dashboard
You can edit your dashboard at any point by toggling to the "Edit" button located in the center of your screen right above your widgets:
Once you are done, toggle back to "View".
Filter my dashboard
You can filter the information you see on your dashboard by clicking the tornado "Filter" icon in the top right corner of your dashboard. From the pop-up window, you can filter by board, group, or any of the columns on your boards! If you want to view this filter every time you open this dashboard, click "Save to this dashboard".
With the TV Mode, you can present your dashboards nicely! No more left pane, buttons or icons. This setting is great if you'd like to display your dashboard on TV or big screens. Click on the three dots menu of your dashboard and select "TV Mode" as below:
You can change your dashboard into dark mode. Go to your three dots menu on the top right > switch to dark mode.
Your dashboard will now go into dark mode. To switch back, you can follow the same steps.
Now that we covered all the basics, let's dive into the different available widgets.
Schedule Email Notifications
Schedule your dashboard to be sent periodically as an email! Click the "Share" icon located at the top right corner of your dashboard, and click "Schedule email notification".
You can choose to send email notifications to all of your dashboard's subscribers, or you can manually select team members. Choose whether you want to send emails daily, weekly, or monthly, and set the exact day and time! When you're done, click "Schedule email".
When the time comes, all of the team members you've selected will receive an email that looks something like this:
The Workload Widget is a great way to see how your team's work is divided and the upcoming timeline for everyone's tasks in one place. With this widget, you can now have these insights from multiple boards in order to make sure your team is set for success. It is a must-have to enhance your workflow!
The Chart View is a great way to see the analytics side of your workflow. With our Chart Widget, you can now pull out information from several boards and gather them all in one chart! This widget is a must have to enhance your workflow! Check out this article to learn more about it. 📊

With our Calendar Widget, you can now pull out information from several boards and gather them all in one Calendar View! That will allow you to get a high-level picture of what's happening across multiple boards in one place.
The Battery Widget allows you to keep track of the progress of your boards in just one place. You can also combine the progress of several boards in one single battery icon. The Counter Widget will display any numerical column you have on your board. This widget is great to get an overall sense of where projects stand in regards to numbers, to track total costs or numbers of multiple boards in one place! Check out this article to learn more about it.
The Table Widget allows you to display multiple boards in one view. In addition, you can select which specific group from each board you want to see. It is great to get an overview of a specific topic from different boards, to track where projects stand and see the big picture as a team! Read more about it right here.
