Gmail Integration

Are you looking to connect your inbox with your monday.com workflows? With the Gmail integration you can transform emails into action items, and automatically align everyone to stay seamlessly connected. 

 

Add it to your workflow

To add the Integration, go to the board you want to create an Integration for and click on the Integration button, located on the upper right of your screen as below:

From there, select "Gmail" as below:

Once you click on the "Gmail" integration banner you will find the recipes our integration offers:

2.pngThen you can simply select the integration you wish to create! Next, you will be asked to connect your gmail and monday.com accounts. 

 

Connect your gmail account

Once you click on one of the recipes you will be asked to connect your monday.com account with your Gmail account:

Next, choose the email account you want to associate with monday.com.

Woohoo! It's that easy 😀 You have successfully connected your account to Gmail. Now you can get busy building recipes to communicate efficiently with your team!

Does the email integration support files?

Currently the email integration does not support files. That being said, if you want to send files to your monday.com account, we do have a work around. You can send a file to a board or to an item (in the updates section). Check out this article to learn the step by step process.  

 

Does the integration support multiple email addresses? 

YES! The email integration supports multiple emails!! We have now added an increment that will serve both Outlook and Gmail integrations where you can define multiple emails in a Text Column separated by ";" and the email will be sent to each of those emails separately 💥


For example in this recipe:

Choose the Email (column) option from the resulting menu and then choose a text column:

You can define the values (the email addresses) of the Text column as follows: "[email protected] ; [email protected] "

The integration will send an email to both [email protected] & example.m[email protected]!

 

How to unsync your Google Account from monday.com?

In case you no longer need the integration between monday.com and Gmail, you can unsync it by following these few easy steps: 

 

How to change the sender's name

If your name in the outgoing emails sent through the Gmail integration don't match, you can quickly fix this in a few steps: 

  • Log in to your Gmail account
  • Click on your settings located on the right of your screen as below:

  • Next, click on "accounts" and then "edit info" as shown below:

  • Once done, add your preferred name in the empty box and make sure to select it.

  • Click save changes and that's it 😊

 

Help - my integration is not working

Option 1 - Refreshing your connection

If your integration is not working, please try to re create the connection. To do so, click on the integration button located on the upper right of your screen. Once in the center, select "board integration" as below:

Next, click on the plug icon next to one of your gmail integration.

Next, click on use another account as below:

You will be able to re create the connection. This hopefully should solve the issue but if not, check out the option 2 below :)

 

Option 2 -  Unsync the integration

 

Important Note:  This option will only be helpful if someone has changed something with the authorization settings in Gmail.  If this is the case, then you can unsync the integration by following these steps:
