Why was my account upgraded?

If your account was upgraded and you're not sure why, we'll walk you through some of the reasons why that may have happened and what you can do to change it back should you wish to do so. 
 

Too many guests or users

In most cases, the reason your account was upgraded is because more members were added to your monday.com account by either you or other members of the team. This lead to exceeding the original payment plan. Before any upgrade, you should receive a warning email 7 days prior to upgrade as well as a daily email from us that the card provided will be charged.
In order to get back to your original plan, follow these steps:
 
Step 1
 
Make sure to first deactivate users or guests. This article explains how.
 
Step 2
 
Once you've done this , downgrade your account back to its original state. Click here to learn how. 
 
Step 3
 
Reach out to our amazing support team at support@monday.com to get a refund.
Tip: If you are an admin of your account, you can restrict the permission of your team to invite new users and avoid any upgrade by mistake. This article explains how. 

Upgrade by mistake
