As you probably know by now, our goal here at monday.com is to transform the way teams work together. We’re constantly thinking of ways to help you maximize your efficiency and to make our platform even easier to use. That’s why we’re excited to introduce you to the new boards list!
So far, the boards list of the platform divided your boards by their different types - main, shareable and private. As a result, teams had a hard time seeing the boards which are most relevant to them in a unified way.
That's why we've decided to revamp our boards list, to make it better and more suitable for your needs.
So here's a rundown of all the changes in the boards list:
- From now on, all boards will exist in one area, instead of being split into three different sections. This will reduce friction and the complication of searching for a board in different areas.

- Shareable and Private boards now have an icon next to their names, to let you know the type of board you’re viewing. This brings more order while keeping you reassured that your boards are viewed by the relevant team members.
- Folders will only be visible to team members who are subscribed to at least one board within the folder (not the boards themselves). You can also move any type of board into the same folder.
Tip: There’s no need to worry - your Shareable and Private boards will still only be visible to the relevant people, who you choose to invite to see and collaborate with you on these boards. This helps you work more efficiently with your boards, reduce duplication of folders and makes sure that everyone in your team works exactly the same
- You can now use our new boards search bar to help you filter the boards list and search for any board, to see only what’s most relevant for you. We mentioned how we’re looking to make our platform easier for you to use and this will reduce the amount of effort you need to make in order to search for a board.
