Do you use Google Ads to manage campaigns and grow your business? Are you looking for an easy way to launch search campaigns and get robust, detailed insights on their performance right in your own monday.com account? We're happy to announce the new Google Ads integration which allows you to do just that!
Using this integration, you can launch new campaigns and instantly sync data from Google Ads right into your monday.com board. By doing this, you can have all of your work centralized in one place and have endless analyzation options using board views, dashboards, and much more. Let's dive in. 🙌
Note: The Google Ads app currently only pulls in data from search campaigns to your board and not from other campaign types.
Install the Google Ads app and template
The first step to begin using the Google Ads integration is to install the Google Ads management template onto your account. This template comes ready made with the app pre-installed in it. Additionally, the template must be used alongside the app in order for it to work properly!
To add the app and template onto your account, access the monday apps marketplace and locate the Google Ads application. After selecting the Google Ads app, click on "Use app" and then "Add to workspace" as shown below:
Next, select the specific workspace in your account which you'd like to have the Google Ads template added to and then click on the blue "Add feature" button.
Google Ads Management board
After installing the Google Ads app and template onto your account, you'll be able to access the Google Ads Management board, your go-to place to track, launch, and analyze all of your campaigns!
Show me how this board is structured
Each item on the board represents a specific campaign.
The groups help to categorize the items according to the status of each campaign, whether it is pending, active, paused, or removed.
The columns help to map out and display all necessary details for each campaign such as its manager, budget, cost, clicks, impressions, and much more.
Lastly,subitemshelp to display ad group data for each campaign.
With your template board ready to go, it's time to learn how to sync your campaigns from Google Ads so you can see your data come to life!
Sync campaign information
To sync your campaign information from Google Ads into your Google Ads Campaign Management board, begin by selecting an item and clicking into the "Google Ads Management" tab. Then, click on "Sign in with Google", select your account, and complete the authentication of your Google Ads account.
Once you've finalized the connection between monday.com and Google Ads, select the specific account that will be used for this board and then click "Sync to board". You can also click on "Create a new account" if you wish to create a new Google Ads account altogether.
Note: Only one account can be used per board when using the Google Ads app. If you'd like to use an additional Google Ads account, add a new template board and connect a separate Google Ads account to it!
Watch the magic happen!
Now that your Google Ads account is connected to your template board, you should see all of your campaign information automatically sync into your board within a few moments. As mentioned before, you'll find each separate campaign as an item on your board, with all of its details mapped out in the boards' columns!
Automate your workflow
To instantly sync campaign data, try adding one of our pre-set integration recipes onto your board. For your convenience, we prepared an integration recipe that is ready on your board which will automatically sync your campaigns every three days. All you need to do is activate it!
To do this, start by clicking on the "integrate" button at the top of your board. Under the "Board Integrations" tab, simply click on "Add to board" on the right of the recipe displayed as shown below!
You can also choose from our other Google Ads integration recipes which can be customized and added to your board! Simply search for "Google Ads" within the Integrations Center and select any of the pre-prepared recipe templates!
Launch new Google Ad campaigns
Syncing data from existing campaigns is great and all, but what about launching new campaigns? Well, you're in luck! With the Google Ads App, you can launch amazing campaigns in a few simple steps, right from the comfort of your own board!

Dive into campaign metrics
To get an interactive, detailed graph of various metrics for each specific campaign, click into a campaign (item) on your board, open up the Google Ads app, and click on "Metrics". By clicking on any of the parameters at the bottom (Clicks, All conversion, Impressions, Cost), you'll be able to add that information as a line on the graph!
Tip: You can choose to add multiple metrics at once to display them all simultaneously on your graph!
Clicking on the date range above the graph will allow you to adjust the dates displayed in it. Additionally, hovering over any point on the graph will display a breakdown of the metrics gathered for that specific day within the campaign.
As an example, hovering over the point below shows us the exact amount of clicks, actions, and impressions for our campaign on the date of December 18, 2021:
Review account-wide details
From the "Account" tab of the Google Ads app, you can view campaign information on the account level such as account performance, keywords & search terms used, account details, and more.
To get a breakdown of account-wide campaign performance, click on the "Account Performance" section. Here, you'll find a line graph filled with summarized data from all of your campaigns together in one place:
Furthermore, we've created a pre-set dashboard view so you can get a high-level, aggregated overview of campaign performance across your entire account! This view is fully customizeable, however, we've made sure to include many valuable metrics such a status overview of all campaigns, campaign budget versus cost, average conversion rate, and much more!
Removing the app
If you're looking to fully revoke the connection between your monday.com and Google Ads account, this must be done from within Google Ads itself. To do this, log into Google Ads and then go to "Tools and settings", click on "Access and security" and then into the "Managers" tab. From here, you'll be able to click on "Remove access", as below:
Note: Deleting the Google Ads Management board or uninstalling the Google Ads app will not revoke monday.com's access to your Google Ads account and this must be done from within Google Ads itself.
