Traveling a lot, working on-the-go, or just looking for a new apartment? Connect your board's items to your mobile's navigation services using the Map View! Take all relevant locations with you everywhere you need to go right in your back pocket!
Add the Map View
To add the view, you need to make sure you first have either the Location Column or the Country Column added to your board.
When you are finished inputting your data into one of these columns, you are ready to add the view!
Click the "Main Table" views button at the top left corner of your screen:
Now, you can select "Map" from the Board Views menu!
You will then be prompted to allow monday.com to use your location! It's okay if you click "Don't Allow" - it just means you won't be able to see where you are on the map in relation to all of your items!
Once your map view is added, you can check out all of your items represented as markers on your map at the exact location you inputted into the Location or Country Column! You can click any of the markers on your map to see the name of your item next to the marker and to open up a mini item card at the bottom of the screen. If you click anywhere on the mini item card, you will open up the complete item card in full screen mode!
Filter your items
Click the tornado filter icon to narrow down the items on your map to only show you what you need!
You can choose to filter by any of the columns or groups on your board! You can even save the filtered results as a new view so that you can return to these specific items quickly next time!
Search
You can also filter your items by searching for the item name or keywords! Click the magnifying glass at the top right corner of your view:
Begin typing into search bar at the top of your view, and you'll start seeing your markers reduce down to only the relevant items!
