How to share views publicly?

Do you need to put your roadmap in your website? Send customers specific boards or views without needing them to log in? Get all the team in sync by putting a board in a TV in your office? You are now able to do just that with the "share views".

Publish your boards, embed them in your website, and make them accessible to everyone on the web! Here at monday.com we decided to embed our Product Roadmap board in our website, to make it available to our users. Take a look at that example here!

Choose the information you want to display

⚠️ Please keep in mind that filtered data (items and columns) can still be accessible by technical savvy users although it is hidden. For more information about it, feel free to reach out our customer success team at [email protected]

You can choose which information you'd like to display publicly on your board by using the board filters or by hiding columns.

  • Use the board filter

Let's say we are an event company. We would like to display all the upcoming events for this month and next month but we would like to hide the past events.

By using the board filter, you can create a view for this month and next month events only. Simply apply your filters and make sure to hit "save as new view".

Once done, rename your filtered view and click on "share" to publicly share it.

Your shared board view will display only the information you've chosen to show.

  • Hide columns

You can also hide specific columns of your board so that they will not show publicly. For example, we don't want to show the budget of the events.

Always make sure to save your view with the hidden columns. Keep reading to learn more.

Click on the eye icon located on the upper right of your board as below:

Save your view as a new view. We can call our view "upcoming events" as below:

How to set up the published view in full screen?

Easy! Just make sure to add the term "/embed/" right after "view.monday.com/".

Then, you will see the board in full screen:

How to zoom in a shared view?

If you want to enlarge and zoom in your board, you can just add at the end of the URL the phrase: "?zoom=2" for scaling the board 200%; "?zoom=1.5" for scaling 150%; "?zoom=1.2" for scaling 120%, and so on. Just change the number at the end depending on the percentage of zoom you want to see.
