What can we help you with?

The "My Week" Widget

At the beginning of the week, we just want to have everything laid in front of us so we know exactly what this week has in store for us. There are no more surprises with the My Week Widget! The widget brings together all of your upcoming tasks for today and the rest of the week so you can tackle them all on time!

How to add the widget

Unlike most widgets, all of the boards on your account (that privacy settings allow) are connected to the My Week Widget even if they aren't already connected to your dashboard!

To add the My Week Widget to your dashboard, just click  '+ Add Widget' at the top left corner of your dashboard and select 'More' to launch the Dashboards Center.

From the Dashboards Center, you can find the My Week Widget in the "Recommended" category, or you can search for it in the search bar!

Note:  The My Week Widget is based on the Date Column and the People Column, so you first need to assign people and input your dates into one or more of these columns for the widget to work best.

How to set it up

In the right panel, you can set up your My Week Widget with whatever boards and people you want to track! Let's go through each of the categories of settings together!

  • Team Members

First, under 'Choose team members you want to follow', we can choose to see tasks assigned to certain people! We've selected our three team members so that we can see everything going on for our team this week, but you can choose just yourself, and up to as many people as you want!

  • Hide boards

The My Week Widget is automatically connected to every board that you have access to on your account. If you don't want to see all of your boards, you can choose to hide certain boards! Just type the name of the board you want to exclude into the search bar and click the box on the right to select it like we've done below:

  • Only deadlines

You can choose whether you want to view all upcoming dates in your boards, or just upcoming deadlines! Deadlines are dates that are connected to a Status Column, and the My Week Widget will display the status connected to your deadlines! Click here to read more about Deadline Mode!

  • Assignments without a date

If you have upcoming assignments that don't have a specific deadline assigned, but you don't want to miss them, you can select "Show assignments without a date" like we've done below. You can also select "Show column titles" to display which Date Column the task is associated with.

When you're finished setting up your My Week Widget, click "Done".

Want to check out a past or future week? Click the arrows beside this week's date to navigate back and forth in your calendar! If you get a little too far and want to come back to today's date, click "Jump to current week".
