Choose your boards

Let's say we are an event management company composed of two teams: Julia and Lea. Each team has its own board composed of a list of events.

We want to build a chart view to get data from the two boards combined (it can be budget, amount of attendees, event types...). The first step is to pick the two relevant boards we want to get the data from:

Pick your chart type

Enjoy and create beautiful charts from our chart gallery. Whether you want a pie chart, a stacked chart or just any chart, we've got you covered! For more information about each type of chart, check out this article. In the settings menu, pick the chart type as below:

Choose the values

  • X-axis

Choose the x-axis from the different column types in your boards. We can for example select "date" meaning that the x axis of your chart will reflect the different dates of each board.

If you have different dates columns in each board, you can select which specific column you'd like to display. You can customize it even more by clicking on group by. Whether you want the dates to be grouped by Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year... we got you covered!

You can also choose the order of your values either you want it ascending or descending.

Note:  If you are axis is a status column, the sort will apply according the order of your labels

  • Y-axis

For the y-axis, select the numerical value or any of the columns in your boards. For example, we want to see the total budget spent per month for each team.

Choose your groups

You can pick which specific group of each board you'd like to see the value from. In this example, we want to see all months from each boards:

Filter your chart

You filter directly on your chart by using the board filters. It is a great way to display the exact information you need. On your chart widget, click on the filter icon as below:

Let's say we want to see the total amount spent on festival events only for both Lea and Julia's teams. On the top right of the widget in the search bar, we will type "festival" as below:

This will display the budget of both Lea and Julia's team spent per month only on festival events. You can even save your view by clicking "save" to save your customized view.
