Introducing the improved version of our "Create project from template" integration, designed to elevate your experience with the Portfolio solution! This update makes it easier to create and link projects to your portfolio. Make sure to install the new integration and recreate your recipes from scratch as the old integration phases out.

Timeline and key dates

October 31, 2024: The old integration will no longer be available to install (the one not marked with the star). We encourage you to recreate your recipes using the new and improved version.
January 1, 2025: This is the final step in the transition! The old integration will be fully retired, and existing setups will stop working after this date. Be sure to update to the new version and recreate your recipes manually by then to keep everything running smoothly.

What is new?

The new integration brings exciting improvements, starting with supporting project creation from workspace templates. These templates can include projects, boards, dashboards, and docs, offering a streamlined way to manage your workflows. Each workspace template must have at least one project board (indicated by the three horizontal Gantt-like lines icon), and the portfolio connection will automatically link to the first project board in the template.
Additionally, the new integration supports both standard and managed templates, giving you greater flexibility to work with the tools that best suit your needs.

We've also removed the need to define the condition “When project tasks link is empty.” This update reduces the chance of misconfigurations and makes the integration setup more intuitive.
