How to cancel a free trial

 

Canceling a free trial on monday.com is simple. This guide explains how to end a trial, what changes when it ends, and how billing works. If your account already has a paid product and you start a trial for another product, jump to How to cancel a free trial when your account has multiple products.

 

Note: Only admins can cancel an account. To cancel your account, please use the web version of monday.com. Free trials don't require a credit card - your account simply deactivates if you don't upgrade. You will not be charged.

 

How to cancel a free trial of a single product

Click on your profile picture and select Administration from the menu:

Select Billing from the menu on the left and then click Close my account at the bottom right-hand corner.

Note: Closing your account means that your team will not be able to access their boards or any work in progress. 

 

To continue, click Close account.

That's it! Your account is officially closed.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Once you cancel your trial, you can decide whether to keep your account data to access it later or delete it. To delete your data, select Delete my account data.

Then, select Delete account data for good on the next screen.

Currently, our policy is to keep all data available by default so that it will be available if you want to access it later. However, we can not guarantee that we will continue this practice indefinitely. We reserve the right to delete data from an inactive account at any time. 

Note: Once an account is completely deleted, it cannot be reversed. If you'd like a backup of your work, we recommend you export your boards to Excel before canceling.

 

How to cancel a free trial when your account has multiple products

If you already have a paid plan for one monday.com product and start a trial for an additional product, the Delete product option will be grayed out and you will not be able to cancel the trial and remove it manually. The trial will end automatically on its scheduled end date, access will stop, and you will not be charged for that additional product. Your existing paid plan remains active as usual.

Once the trial expires, you can remove the additional product from your account if you no longer need it.

 

How can I unsubscribe from emails?

If an email happens to sneak through, please click the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of that email. This should prevent you from receiving any future emails from us.
